Depends what happens with Draymond.

They can’t replace him.

They need a much better bench next year.

Their bench last year really helped them in the playoffs. Otto Porter was big. Payton was much better. Poole was a different player.

Dude, i saw the bulls winning, i was old enough back then, lol. You talking crap, as usually.

And even if they don't meet your dumb criteria, the dubs are still a dynasty. Or was, next year will show it more clearly.

I'm not the one who invented the criteria. And calling others dumb just because you disagree doesn't make you smarter at all.

I'm not a smart man, but i know what a dynasty is.

Dude, you too salty.

I agree with one of the statements above.

Really it was over the moment Draymond punched Jordan Poole.

Dynasty was built on being vastly superior and injuries to main stars

Agreed Warriors tried to have their cake and eat it too by thinking both could coexist together after that punch. If the rumors are true about them resigning Draymond this summer, then they will have to trade Poole. I can't see this ever being a successful partnership between those 2.

It's over. The only question is whether they'll continue to be "competitive" and pay the massive tax bill or they'll blow it up and let Steph ride it out the last few seasons like Kobe did with the Lakers at the sad end of his career. Kerr is the worst coach I can imagine to rebuild with so maybe it's time he goes bye bye so some of these kids can get some run. They'll still be fun to watch as long as they have Steph. They really do have a lot of young talent but you wouldn't know it because of Kerr. I'd rather watch Steph and the kids drafted the past couple of years than a repeat of this squad. Poole has probably played his last game as a Warrior.

Yea, that's how you become a dynasty for sure lol.

They're always going to have a puncher's chance if Steph is healthy until he declines sharply. If they get their defense back on track, they'll always be able to beat anyone in a tough series unless someone puts together another true super team.

They're not going away easily, they still have a bunch of assets and quality players, and a true star.

Guess it's over, call it a day
Sorry that it had to end this way
No reason to pretend
We knew it had to end some day, this way

Yea that was pretty ugly. And I don't see too much room to move for them outside of finding anyone who thinks Poole has value.

They need one guy who can post up IMO.

I need to make a thread one of these days comparing gsw's playoff resume to the Lakers and spurs in the 00s.

if you exclude the years they had KD, they only beat 2 good teams '16 OKC and '22 Boston

Their title last year reminded me of the Spurs '07 title. A lot of parallels from the '07 title run and the Warriors '22 run. Spurs were not considered the favorites heading into the '07 playoffs and had the 3 seed and the Warriors were also in that position. Spurs hardest opponent was the Suns in round 2 but caught a lucky break with the suspensions of Amare and Diaw while the Warriors caught a lucky break with Ja getting injured in round 2. Spurs avoided playing veteran teams in '07 outside of the Suns and took advantage of inexperienced less talented teams in the Jazz and Cavs. Warriors played nothing but young inexperienced teams in last year's playoff run.

Spurs ended up ironically losing to the Lakers due to them getting Gasol and Warriors ended up losing to an upgraded Lakers team through trades. Just like the Spurs back in '08 the Warriors have an aging core, but I think it's a worse situation because Tony Parker out of the Spurs big 3 was still young in his 20's back then while the Warriors big 3 are all above the age of 30. It took the Spurs 4 years after '08 to be a relevant elite team again. They had to make a lot of roster changes and it was painful before they could become a title team again during those 4 years. I don't think the Warriors will be able to have the same successful retool the spurs had during those down years.

I see them becoming what the Celtics were during the early 90's during Bird's finally years which was a good team but not a great team capable of winning it all. Celtics kept their big 3 during that stretch from the 80's but never could get beyond the second round during that stretch.

I see the deflecting the blame away from Curry is in full force with threads about Thomson and such. You can't blame going down to 3-1 hole on Thompson. This was all on Curry playing poorly on critical moments especially down the stretch where he has been historically unable to execute (his game winners are something like 0-9 in the playoffs).

Curry had really bad decision making in critical moments while warriors digged the hole for themselves (the timeout call, bad turn overs and such). Did Thomson have bad close out game? Sure but you can't blame 3rd option on this series loss. Curry also had forth quarters where he shot more than entire team combined and in really bad percentages. Combine that with total lack of defense and very mediocre playmaking (as in bellow average and just get some value from elite shooting they have surrounding Curry), you simply cant win with that formula anymore when you don't have almost handful of others playing on hall of fame level anymore.

I predicted before season starts that warriors don't make into the playoffs. Well I wasn't far off, just got lucky and squeezed in on the last moment and got the lucky break in the first round AGAIN to play vs injured team like 3 times last year... However they still lost to a bad team in the Lakers so not like their competition was hard at any point in these playoffs.

this series showed why steph never will be top 10 alltime. 12-15 ok there's an argument sure. but he cant beat an old man lebron while he's still in his prime. they lost to a 7-12th seed lakers team that has a rookie coach, misfit players and a fragile center.
