Being a prominent figure in the sports/basketball media i believe it's irresponsible to air your personal opinion from complete emotional reactionary impulse & saying things such as to trade certain players. That's personal & damaging. Leave it up to the teams organization to make those decisions. I think some of these hosts get away w/ too much personal attacks & forget they represent as part of a professional in their field. IMO Stephen A is out of line here.

If you are in the media and you have an opportunity to drive a narrative, you should be saying Randle shouldn't have come back, injured and not ready, Barrett showed a lot and still has a chance to grow with Brunson.
Also wtf you gonna do with Lillard. Not sure him and Brunson could coexist. But you just helped tank the value of the guys you would want to trade him for.

New York is building, they have their playoffs guy in Brunson, RJ is a solid younger player that needs to add a couple of moves/spots he can go to and they also have a few nice defensive guys to sprinkle through the rotation. If they can upgrade the center position and probably move Randle for some more assets they're good. Randle could be fine if he gave a )(#$ on the defensive end, but he's taking off way too many plays.
Boy did Dallas screw up letting Brunson go, he even proved his worth in the playoffs with them.

You put dame in new york and suddenly brunson isnt as effective. Neither are any good off the ball.. ive seen dame attempt to be an off the ball player in the olympics and hes just a chucker..

2 factors in the Knicks way:
1) Dolan is still their owner. I don’t trust him to get out of his own way (I wouldn’t be shocked to see him fumble Leon Rose somehow)
2) Thibs is on year 3 of his typical 4-5 year cycle. Blow up coming soon

1. I think Dolan has figure out he has to get out of the way of the basketball decisions, he's got enough on his plate with his band and using facial recognition to keep certain people out of Garden.
2. No, that was a narrative created by the Chicago FO who were trying to push Thibodeau out because they wanted Hoiberg in, they didn't sign Thibodeau as coach, the owner did. If you haven't noticed, most of his players love him and are more than willing to ay for him again. The only guys who haven't liked Thibodeau is the ones who don't want to work. NY was going nowhere before Thibodeau, RJ was seen as a bust and at the very least, they've made it past the 1st round multiple years, helped utilize Randle into an All-NBA player and RJ into a decent younger player.
The time in Minnesota was a car wreck, the owner who was the only common link to those 14 straight years of missing the playoffs actually let a firm pick the coach, the only issue, after hiring Thibs as coach and POBO he started overruling him. Thibs wanted to move Wiggins + 5 for Butler which Chicago wanted also and that wasn't allowed. The only reason why Thibodeau got enough assets OK'd by the owner was because that LaVine had a knee injury and that they drafted K.Dunn the previous year because Chicago wanted to move up to draft him.
As long as Thibs gets his type of players he's going to be fine in New York. That team is starting to resemble what he had in Chicago with D.Rose if they can move Randle and get Thibs type guys at C and PF. New York is going to be a solid team for a while.

And 1 of them plays 0 defense while the other is the best in the world.
Also would like to throw Sabonis in this. Dude plays no defense and his inability to score outside of the restricted area completely clogged the offense up.
Bam is clear cut the 3rd best center in the league behind the 2 guys who have had a stranglehold on the mvp award and mvp runner up for the last 3 years. Unless you consider AD a center now then he’s 4th

It’s strange that AD is considered still a PF. He has been playing center for 2 years now.
While I agree with putting Bam as 3rd or 4th the gap between him and Jokic, Embiid, and AD is huge. At the sam me time there much less separation between Bam and the other centerd
