I could very well see him being the hire. He fits from a culture/lockerroom standpoint which Horst and Edens might fall in love with. I'd be pretty bummed if they go that route.

Coach the best player in the world in a low cost of living city. Sounds like a great job.

i dont think any of us actually understand what hiring Monty would mean vs. hiring anyone else. it's way above our paygrade. the Suns didn't lose because of Monty, they lost because Paul got hurt and without him they have very little beyond KD and Booker. Ayton depends on CP3 a lot. He was fired so that they could get a fresh start, much like us. Will it actually make them better vs. retooling with the same coach? who knows.

Our situation is different though. Someone needed to get fired for us losing to Miami.

How long is the best player in the world going to be here though. Anybody that’s coming in has to ask that question. Realistically we could be a year away from a trade request.

I would be stunned if its anyone but nurse bud hardly ever if ever out coached anyone come PO time except monty ......that right there should disqualify him from the bucks gig.Have to give horst credit that he knows nurse abused bud in the ECFs absolutely out coached him he has to make the right call dont bring in someone who is actually worse in the POs than bud was

Think Nurse wants to reunite with Kawhi? Would think so.

Monty would be too drastic of an overcorrection from Bud in the leadership/motivation department. Bud coached circles around him once he figured him out in the Finals. We would somehow get worse at in-game decision-making. I could see Giannis liking/respecting him, though.

I still think Lue is the best of both worlds. We get more in-game adjustments and a guy that can relate to the players more. Sucks we have to compete with Booker/Durant for these guys now.

I’d lose my mind if it’s Monty.

Monty is a good coach but he has a pretty old school approach to the game. I think from memory the suns were the top mid range shooting team under his watch. Didn’t take a lot of three by modern NBA standards.

He wouldn’t be the worst hire we could make but I think there are better candidates available.

To be fair, mid-rangers are what CP3, Booker, and Durant want to do regardless of coach.

You can’t hire the coach that the fired coach beat in the ship. You just can’t. That’s absolute madness to do something so ass backwards like that. That would be the ultimate kick in the nuts for Bud.. We gotta be better than that..

I completely agree. Even if the guy is a great, great coach. It's too dissonant.
