I'm ready to start him next to Maxey next year. Gives us some defense and toughness we desperately need. Not like we're winning anything anyway.
He 100% should get a shot. He is actually a consistent threat from midrange which would be welcomed after we lived and died by the three all season.
The problem is having Maxey and Springer occupying the 1 and 2, we don't have a natural ballhandler/distributor on the team.
Who cares? With a "natural ballhandler" who gives us 9 pts 6 reb and 7 ast in games that count, I'm perfectly fine without one.

Because there's nuance to a natural ballhandler. Yes, James sucked, but if he were good, the offense would look competent. We had Ben Simmons running the offense for like 5 years and it always looked like a nightmare.

i told you about the stairs bro.
This team was flawed as **** from jump. Old, slow, unathletic, and full of fake good shooters.
But then they went on a nice little run; they showed some fight; won games that past teams wouldn't, first sweep in forever....maybe I was wrong.
WELP
I was. PJ was good for us in the playoffs. Melton was good all year until the playoffs but still. House had a game.....hell even Doc didn't fall to his worst tendencies. So on that front...I was wrong.
our best two players are hoes ....so who gives a ****.
I love Joel Hans Embiid...but he played like a bitch all post season IMO. Great on defense...tentative and scared on offense. He no longer has the poor spacing excuse either. He got his MVP award and needed to step up and prove it...and did not. Thats **** sad. As of right now, recency bias acknowledged, he cannot be the best player on a championship team...or at the very least not the main scoring option. Too sloppy, too reliant on FTs, too reliant on mid rangers. I am glad he got his award because now he can focus on the other things and just being more efficient in general. He needs to slim down and become a better shooter...specifically from 3. He was Westbrookian from there this post season IMO. But that if he's even here next season....that sad sack performance (I assume as I didn't watch lol) probably would make any trade request look bad but still the FO might want to kick the tires a bit if nothing else.
As I stated, I had a real mental breakdown last game...and i think I know why....I DESPERATELY wanted the narrative on Biid to not be true. He is then crown jewel of the process I defended like my life depended on it. His success means more to me than anything...but here we are and he went out sad as **** (again I assume lol)...can't defend that. And now if he is still here...nothing he does from this point forward matters until he does big thangz in the playoffs. He could average 40 next year and it won't matter...
As for Harden...meh. I never was a fan of his game pre trade...wanted Haliburton...yaddi yaddi yadda. His game is based off him taking a lot of possessions and with Biid that didn't work as well. KD and Kyrie are elite off ball. Biid is too ball dominant. As for bringing him back? Who cares. I wouldn't but I get why you would...may not have a choice as he probably should opt in lol.
Doc wasn't the problem but canning him is the only move probably available. Ideally for someone w/ some ideas beyond "play w/ pace" But this was probably one of his better series as our coach IMO.
Don't have much for anyone else really. Maxey is a great kid who improved as the series went on...thats worth seeing if he can continue to improve.
I am still very bummed out...but only because this feels like the big guy let us down rather than the outcome...I expected the outcome....just not for him to have such a bad game (I assume lol).
Will be an interesting offseason but honestly who gives a ****....nothing matters until next post season regardless of what they do or don't do.
Glad its over tho

I think we all see the writing on the wall that this was hardens last game in Philadelphia but I have now become a Sixers fan and will cheer on Maxey and the Sixers S my second team.
I’m sorry that James went out like this and didn’t give you guys a better result. Whatever happens you guys are the best.

Embiid may be the most hated player in the history, hilarious stuff TBH.

FireMorey wrote:The one play to me that stood out more than any other was either the 2nd quarter or 3rd quarter(I honestly was barely paying attention to the game) where Embiid was one on one with Horford, he did a couple up and under fakes, Horford bit a little bit on it and Embiid had a clear path to dip under Horford and go right up for a scoop layup. Instead of spun back around for a difficult fadeaway and it got blocked.
Shows his mentality when he settled for that weak fadeaway.

Again so what? Fat Harden is good enough to get us to a 2nd round exit, just like Bricklayer Ben was. What's the difference?
Harden is straight garbage in the playoffs when the refs swallow their whistles. We're going nowhere with this guy.
