More importantly, both are ringless.

TBF, Chicago did that with bleh offense and elite defense, so...
True. However, the Bulls were contenders with Rose while Iverson just clashed with Larry Brown, Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose could have worked (before the 3 point shooting era). If the Bulls amnestied Boozer and signed more role players they could have at least competed against LeBron and his decade of dominance in the east

He didn't deserve either. 2006 was just egregious. Also never made a single Finals appearance despite playing with stacked rosters for his entire career. Dude was a loser as a player and as a coach.

This is hakeem vs Robinson 95. No h2h matchup, but now we know who the real mvp was and embiid ain't it
bad comparison, Robinson was the real MVP, no question
Yep, he really showed it vs hakeem (regular season award for a regular season player just doesn't cut it in the playoffs)

Is that true, though? The Sixers made the Finals and took a game from an otherwise-undefeated (in the postseason) Lakers squad. They contender, they just didn't have the tools to truly compete.

Specifically, Nash really proved it in the playoffs both of those years by upping his stats big time and going to the Western Conference Finals both years (the second year with Amar'e out for the season). He lost to very good Spurs and Mavs teams but even in those losses there were plenty of injuries and funny business that happened to the Suns.
Nash consistently raised his level of play in the playoffs so I'm not sure why Nash is the parallel here for whoever tweeted that.

Its not a fair comparison cause robinson never had an all star on his team until he was washed.
Embiid had so much more help. D rob is better than embiid in the postseason and a much better defender.
Also hakeem would destroy embiid even harder than d rob.

Eyeatoma's account was hacked. We're working on getting it back in the right person's hands. We will return to regular programming, soon, folks!

The team felt pretty stacked in 2005 (though Joe Johnson broke his face and couldn't play much in the San Antonio series). But Nash really put this narrative to bed in 2006 when Amar'e missed the whole season and Nash went straight back to the Conference Finals with a starting frontcourt of Tim Thomas and Boris Diaw. They also lost Raja Bell in that Conference Finals series (calf injury).
Then if you really still doubted Nash after 2006, Nash had one more Conference Finals for you. 2010. 35-year-old-Nash. Amar'e. 37-year-old Grant Hill. Channing Frye, Jared Dudley, baby Robin Lopez. Just a rag tag crew winning 54 games, sweeping the Spurs, and putting up a good fight against the champion Lakers.
I don't know what to say to Nash haters. Did you watch those playoff runs? The man was a demon.

I love you ignore his All-NBA teammate in 06. The reality is that he played with great talent throughout his prime and won nothing, but these delusional Nash stans want to call out other guys for choking. It's hilarious.

I'll give you Maxey..but Harden turns down another level or two in the playoffs.

Jokic still hasn’t done s—t in the playoffs and sucks on defence. Calm down until he gets past AD, Lebron, and the Lakers.

It’s big of you to finally admit it. Don’t fall back into delusion next season when Joe L statpads his way through the regular season again.

IIRC, the Sixers didn’t really have any players/prospects who are improving, so they were pretty much at their ceiling, and they weren’t beating the Lakers, Kings, Spurs or Mavs in the west. With teams in the east such as Pistons, Nets, Pacers emerging as contenders, the Sixers we’re back to merely a playoff team
With Chicago in the 2010s, I do think they have a chance to win as well as improving with no nonsense prospects such as Butler and Noah (he probably didn’t have to be ran into ground assuming all are healthy).

Somewhat immaterial to the point I made, because you were dismissing them as just "Iverson clashing with Larry Brown," which is definitely not accurate.

Can't imagine they'd have done, personally, but we'll never know, so that door remains open at least in theory, sure.

He did more on his own playing without the single all star player on his team in his career, than the ring chasing whores like Lebron and AD, who gang up with each other, with the help of the league who always pulls the plug with the trades to bail out the fakers.
