Yeah, I thought the full quote was fine and give players the benefit of the doubt that they had a word salad full of feelings and what he said at the end wasn't said how he meant for it to be taken.

Oh I heard the full clip. He's using the sandwich technique nothing more. He's inserted the insult between 2 slices of niceties. What a time for the LEADER of the team to say "he can't do it alone" when HE himself the MVP provided ZERO contribution, ZERO leadership, showed ZERO determination, and could NOT buy a bucket to keep his team in the game when the Celtics were making a run. Uhhh he did go out like that game 7 vs Phoenix in 06.

Kobe shot 50% from that game. not as bad as Embiid. And Look at his starting lineup then, Smush freaking Parker, Kwame freaking Brown, and Luke freaking Walton...even peak MJ or peak Lebron couldn't carry that starting lineup.

Kobe played well the first half that game. He just quit at halftime. Put up 1/1/0/0/0 in the second half in 19 minutes on 0/3 from the field. He clearly was not trying at all. He barely even took a step inside the 3-point line the second half. That was being a petulant child though, not being scared of the moment.
