What an absolute nightmare of a coaching search this has been....literally feels like the end of our almost dynasty and the Giannis era in Milwaukee is about to be be cemented with the announcement. Very sad feeling.

How, exactly, has this been "an absolute nightmare of a coaching search?" Like which guy did we miss out on that has you all hot and bothered? All that matters is the hire. And the team he/she puts into place. And even after that we won't know anything until we play actual basketball games. More specifically, postseason games. Really not understanding the panic here. Unless you wanted Udoka. And he was already off the board before the Budenholzer firing.

If the Suns want to hire the coach that beat them in the Finals, they should probably request permission to interview PJ Tucker.

I just wouldn't get a Monty hire at all. Nothing against him, he seems like a good dude and a solid coach, very much on the level of the guy we just fired. He would be far from the worst coach we could hire but the optics of it would make zero sense to me.

Could be we are hiring him, far more likely that it is just click bait and a bunch of us are falling for it. Kind of exactly the way the news works these days, clicks > truth.

I don't want a 1st time head coach, but if we went that route Quinn would be at the top of my list

I think Bud took us as far as he could. There are a ton of teams that should want him and that doesn't mean it is wrong for us to make a move to someone different. I'm sure he will do well with another team, just don't think he is the right fit to get us back to another champ.
