I hate to defend Crybiid, but if you listen to the full clip - which I guarantee you 95% of people haven't - what he said isn't that bad.

Crybiid explicitly says he had to be better and then is not very eloquent while saying that basketball is a team game that requires a total team effort to win (it all)... He's not really absolving himself of blame here... Though he did protect Harden in a way he never did Simmons.

Not only did he explicitly say he needs to be better, but the question was specifically about if he and Harden can win. So he responded that it’s never just about he and Harden alone and that they need to get better themselves but so does everyone around them because it’s a team game.

Extremely generic and non problematic comment that’s getting picked up devoid of context. Typical sports media stuff.
