IDK. From my understanding, I wouldn't say 100% but damn near close to it.
It doesn't seem to be affecting his rankings in mock drafts. Most mocks have him going 3rd. Some rare ones might have him going 2nd or 4th. But I haven't seen any (at least not recently) that have him going lower than 4th. So I'm assuming that unless we hear some big news come up prior to the draft that he's in some hot water, I'd say it isn't affecting his draft stock..
Which, honestly I'm kind of surprised about. I thought it was gonna be a bigger story and was gonna affect his draft stock more. I don't know all the facts/details, but seems like he definitely delivered the gun to his friend, who then took the gun and murdered someone.
So yeah, seems weird that he would just go on his merry way, get picked 3rd in the draft like nothing happened..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

He can't shoot. But he knows that too.
I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being the biggest steal in the draft. He is a winning player and does everything but shoot well. He is like a mini Draymond Green. The best fit for him is probably a team with a lot of shooters. While I like him and would be happy if he was drafted, I think the Celtics have a bigger need for a center (rob being injury prone/al being old) or a bigger wing (legit 6'7" or above) at the moment.
Is a center at 35 gonna be better than Kornet?
Brad likes shooting, so maybe Jackson isn’t the guy, but I want energy guys that I know are gonna bring it, play defense and pass the ball.

Let's go!
Not getting my hopes up too much though. The article also says...

Watch the beginning of this vid, where he runs the length of the floor and then dunks it from just inside the FT line. How many 7'1" dudes are doing that - and doing it with such athleticism and fluidity? And this guy can block shots and shoot 3's.

Last week, the Call/Times reported that five NBA franchises – including the Boston Celtics – expressed interest in bringing Miranda in for a workout.

Right now, we’re leaning towards going back to school. Isaiah is getting good feedback from NBA types, but it’s more late first-round or early second-round,” said Light. “With one productive year in college, we feel he can be a lottery pick.

My 1st thought was I wondered what happened to this kid...
He seems to be crazy talented and yet seems to be way too immature.. Not sure what to think..

I think he's just young (just turned 19 in january) and having fun.

Adama Sanogo for me. I like Sanogo, Edey and Jackson Davis more than Bona.

If Trayce Jackson Davis learns to shoot 3s I think he has the best chance to be our Horford replacememt

When he was 6' 6 I wasn't too crazy.. But at 6 for 8 he can definitely play the 3 ball... And at is current age and shooting possibly get bigger... So now I am definitely intrigued.
After seeing him play live last week, I would be shocked if he was really 6'8. Having said that, he was a 6'0 point guard 2-3 years ago and he is still just 18 so it's not impossible he gets there. He also needs to put on a ton of muscle but that's the scouting report for 95% of the teenagers that make the league so I don't think that should factor in too much.
By the way his teammate is pretty good too (watch that move at 1:10), but you all already knew that:

I wouldn't bet on that happening.
I like TJD. Solid early 2nd round pick. Think he can potentially have a solid NBA career. But it'll be a surprise if he ends up becoming a long range shooter.

Based on the visual, it looks like the rockets have slightly better lottery odds than the spurs. So we do have a good chance of getting the 33rd pick.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Stats for Isaiah Miranda are tricky, since he didn't play college ball this season.
He only played HS and in some AAU events/showcases.
But Cerebro Sports does have stats for 13 of those games. And I watched 3 other games on Youtube.
So it is a small sample size, but in those 16 games, Miranda shot 58.8% from 3 on 2.3 attempts per game (22/37.4)
So yes it is a small sample size. But these are VERY impressive shooting numbers for a 7-footer who was only 18 yrs old when he played in these games. And quite a few of these shots are off the dribble (side steps, step-backs). It's not like they're all wide open spotting up from 3.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
I would really like to hear people's opinions on Scoot Henderson and/or Brandon Miller.. If Houston is really interested in trading Jalen Green and the number 2 pick As a starting point For J Brown, Boston absolutely has to listen..
And while there is a certain risk in obtaining young unproven talents.. Boston could acquire 2 young studs at a much cheaper contract for the next 10 years or so...
I am already especially high on Brandon Miller.. If we can get jalen green + Miller and another Asset or 2 for Brown, I think it's a no brainer.... Boston already has enough veterans in Derek white and Malcolm Brogdon plus smart and Tatum, They can easily overcome losing one veteran player like Brown for 2 absolute Studs.. Boston May not ever have a chance like this again...

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
Wonder if the possibility of going into second apron in the future changes their draft strategy. A high priced team absolutely would need some reliable depth pieces in house - not just for cost but just to have the non bottom of the barrel bodies available.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft
With the 2nd round pick in this draft, I want the Celts to pick Jalen Wilson from Kansas. I think he will be a good back up behind Tatum and Brown, very athletic, and a decent 3-point shooter. His percentage is 33%, but if you look at his individual games, he has had 20 games last season alone of hitting 2 or more per game, and in 15 of those games he hit at least 3 three pointers. He had eight games of hitting 8 or more FT's in a game and had 13 games of at least 10 or more rebounds per game. At 6'8, 225, and a senior with a ton of experience, yes, he is 22.5 years old, but this is who we need to get.
I was right on Saddiq Bey over Nesmith, and I'm right this time too. Trust me.
Also, we need to sign Kabengele to a 4-year minimum contract, with team options like we did Hauser when he came out of the G-League. He will flourish as a backup behind Big Al, and Rob. He is the same age as Kornet, but much more athletic, stronger, and can shoot the three. This is something else to trust me on. He will be fine as a 3rd or 4th big, so we have no need to try to draft a project big, UNLESS Clowney falls into our laps.
