Think there's quite a few teams in that 8-14 range (Washington, Dallas, New Orleans, Orlando) that are gonna aggressively shop their picks for win-now help. Just saying.....

I like Cam a lot. He plays hard, and if you watch him for 5 minutes you know what kind of athlete he is. I also think his floor game is way behind the curve, and you're probably looking at something offensively closer to Jordan Bell than to Jaylen Brown or even Aaron Gordon. Defensively, he could be special, though.

And I wouldn't totally discount the similarities to Jaylen Brown, either. Just remember how far Jaylen Brown had to come to get where he is.

I think Jarace and Anthony Black have higher upside but who knows really.

Thought the exact same thing when I watched him, although it's always tricky with Jaylen comps because he's a pretty huge outlier when it comes to guys with a poor handle who couldn't shoot a lick in college but then became mid-range/3PT assassins (it's him and Kawhi basically). But man, the physical tools and shooting potential are there in spades. He already looks really comfortable shooting that step-back 3 and moves way more like a true wing than he does a PF.

Whatever teams wins the lottery and that teams GM doesn't take Wemby number one they should be fired on the spot.

I don’t say it lightly. Wembanyama is the best basketball PROSPECT ever seen.

There's no doubt that Wemby has absurd size and skills, all timer potential.

But best prospect? C'mon man

Dude was a household name before he even got to the NBA. ESPN regularly broadcasting his high school games. His first ever card, a Sports Illustrated for Kids cutout/tearaway card, was going for hundreds on eBay the second it released. LeBron as a prospect is something I'm not sure we'll ever see again.

I think it's splitting hairs between Wemby, LeBron, Duncan, and Alcindor.

I wasn't alive to see Alcindor, so I can't speak about that. However, Lebron was easily the best (top) prospect I ever saw. There are a small amount of players you see that you just know are going to be great. Even watching him in HS you could see what was coming. Out of that handful only a few actually lived up to the hype and Lebron did that and more.

I think since Lebron it has been Greg Oden and Zion with neither living up to the hype. Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard would be a step below those when it comes to hype, but Wemby is the most hyped player since Lebron.

I wonder what it would be like if he teamed up with Zion just to watch the contrast in body types. Honestly, I am jealous because it would be fun having a player like that team up with Giannis.

Too bad we didn't own our pick so we could pull a "David Robinson" type of injury to land their Tim Duncan.

Do the Bucks even have a 1st round pick? Is this a NOP pick swap year? A year we traded our 1st to NOP? A year we traded our 1st to Houston? A year we weren’t allowed to consecutively trade our 1st? This **** has gotten hard to keep track of over the past few years lol…

No, I believe we have one or two very late 2nd round picks and that's it.

Re: Wemby vs. Lebron et all, I didn't hate Wemby or anything coming into the year, but I was definitely playing it slow with the hype as last season was mostly just flashes of brilliance but the numbers didn't really match the hype at the time. He put together an absurd season this year though. Doncic is maybe the only European prospect I can recall to be remotely as dominant as Wemby as young as Wemby. I am extremely impressed now. It feels like there's a very large drop off from Wemby to the rest of this year's class in my eyes.

It will be interesting to see how/if the Pistons coaching search changes if they win tomorrow night
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't want to get into the conversation whether Victor is the best prospect ever, but if he reaches his ceiling he's probably going to be the best offensive player in the league and he doesn't even have to reach his full ceiling to be the best defensive player in the league. He really has no holes, no worries in his game. He's getting stronger, he's got incredible basketball IQ, he's not stagnating. Basically unless he gets injured or gets derailed by private stuff, he's going to hit.

We have the 58th pick. We don't have our own FRP until 2028. 2024 and 2026 are the swap years with NOLA.

I don’t think he really has best offensive player in the league potential but I suppose it isn’t impossible. Feels very unlikely though. And in terms of flaws, he’s still a sub-30% 3 point shooter. Certainly passes the eye test though and is an efficient scorer regardless. This is all nitpicking though. He’s an elite elite prospect.
