Frichuela wrote:OK, I am not saying that Cason Wallace will get to the level of Jrue Holiday...who knows! but many pundits have projected Wallace as potentially Holiday-light in terms of playing style.

Now, if we look at the combine measurements and agility they look deceptively similar (Wallace goes first):

Height: 6'2.5" vs. 6'3.25"
Wingspan: 6'8.5" vs. 6'7"
Standing reach: 8'5" vs. 8'4.5"
Weight: 195 vs. 199 lbs.
Lane agility: 10.82 vs. 10.64 secs
Max Vert: 36" vs. 34"

Jrue Holiday comps are almost always bad IMO but man, not sure I've seen someone make more Jrue-type plays in college than Cason. Watching the way he works on defense is insanely impressive.

His offensive creation abilities are definitely a bit scary for a lottery PG, but with his defensive skills and decent enough offensive skills, it feels like there's a pretty high floor there and if god forbid he adds some savviness to his offensive game, he could be one of the best players in the draft.

I hope this thread becomes boring over the next few weeks because we'll all know what player were selecting in the draft by tonight.

I’ve got this feeling about pick #2.

No. Wembanyama is the real deal. 8 foot wingspan and moves like a wing. Can pass, gets steals and blocks, rebounds. He’s a volume scorer at all 3 levels as a 19 year old in a pro league.

I probably started following the draft closely about 3 years ago, no one has been anywhere close to his talent level. He’s like Giannis mixed with a Anthony Davis. If the wizards land him, they are immediately a contender.

A rotation of Wembanyama, Porzingis, Gafford & Huff is a really nice FC. Mismatch city...

Porzingis and Wembanyama in the FC would be unstoppable. Beal can play like a Jamal Murray role, which actually fits him. Hopefully Davis can develop a bit, but he would fit as an off ball cutter/hustle guy. Avdija/Kispert also a perfect fit.

I would take them to win the East. No question

That Scoot article about him being a 'Wizard' just sticks in my head.

Still begging for a Wemby/KP frontline though.

Why? Outside of the LeBron year, this is like the best year to get lucky in this millennium.

I'm sorry I just early trust these skinny 7+ footers. I think the dude is amazing but I would rather cash out on a historical haul than have the dude blow an ACL in the summer league.

If Jokic, Giannis, MAYBE Embiid, or MAYBE Luka are coming back the other way, sure.

Agreed. He's a bigger Anthony Davis with Porzingis's shooting. Just a Freak.

It is pretty wild to think that one team is going to win the Victor sweepstakes and have their fortune change for the next 7-10 years.

I did Tankathon three times and came up with 9 twice and 1 once. So, a one in three chance? Otherwise, we're still going straight tradition and back to our comfortable place.

I think the Spurs win the sweepstakes and Wembanyama is the next great big man there.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I think the only players I would trade the top pick for would be for Giannis, Jokic, Luka and Tatum.
