I'm not a fan, but I hope Utah gets the #1 pick. The organization tried to tank the right way by trading away older talent for younger players, but all the players they got played hard all year long

I would also love to see an organization who never got a #1 pick finally get one. So far only the Jazz, Hawks, and Pacers have yet to get a #1 in there long history.

Raptors got a number 1 pick to be beguiled by the Andrea the Beautiful (Bargnani). Give us another chance draft gods.

This guy is absolutely unbelievable. I just watched the highlights from his last two games, and I'm in shock right now.

I've been following him for years, but wow, he just continues to impress.

It’s media clown talk you almost could’ve put this in the thread about what’s turned you off from nba. Dude aiint touching Shaq/lebron as prospects Payton Manning was a flawless prospect as well

The hype around Lebron was pretty significant back in the day. I'm not sure that can be surpassed. He was being talked about as the next MJ. As a kid coming straight out of high school.

He isn't even the most guaranteed prospect in summer 2023 (I don't care about hockey but I haven't seen anything except that Connor Bedard is locked in to a HOF career).

The hype around Bedard & McDavid, when he came out was pretty crazy.

As an NHL fan and the fan of a team that has the Lebron of NHL prospects on his team, I can tell you that Bedard isn't as hyped as Wemby is.
Hell, I'd even say that McDavid wasn't as hyped as Wemby is. I think part of it is due to his freakish skillset at that size. If he was doing this at Giannis's height, I don't think the hype would be as crazy.

Fair enough. I suppose recently most of my friends around here are much bigger hockey types than NBA, and I've heard about Bedard a whole lot around the sports bar scene I work. Not an NBA town down, though. Boy were a lot of local Blues fans pissed when the Blackhawks won the lottery.

Wembanyama is amazing to watch and certainly the #1 prospect. I sure hope the Bulls hit their 1.8% chance. I just think his body makes him a huge risk for season-altering injury, and that risk affects any labels of Best Prospect Ever.

Don't get me wrong, the Bedard hype has been crazy for a few years now but the Wembenyama hype is in a different stratosphere from anybody I've ever seen even Lebron really although Lebron in the Social Media age might be a different story.

So the Wemby hype train has officially gone off the rails then, right? Greatest prospect ever in team sports?

Lindros? Bo Jackson? LeBron? Peyton?

I wouldn't go that far but what do you expect when a guy comes along who is 7-3, has great athleticism, can handle the ball, has post moves and can shoot the 3? Of course he's going to be hyped like crazy. I hope he succeeds too.

If not my own team (TOR)...then I wish you good luck Hornets' fans!

I can't think of a more irrelevant franchise ever that could possibly be more deserving of finally breaking the longest running drought maybe ever lool I know it's hard to believe but you deserve good things CHA.
