The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I should have self manifested self manifestation first. Then it would have worked.

If we're in the lottery again next season I'm not doing a positive thoughts/manifestation thread, they never worked. It's going to be a reverse jinx thread or nothing.

It's so deflating to never get an obvious generational talent lol

Called it in December.

But I can't say that I'm happy with were things are heading because it looks like we are going to end up in the worst possible spot of being on the cusp of being a playoff team and with a low draft pick--the worst of both worlds.
Also, I'm getting a strong feeling that the Spurs are going to end up with Wembanyama.

I wasn't really hoping for the #1 pick because the odds were so slim but we did have a 20% chance to be in the top 4, so I was at least hoping for that.
In the end, the NBA didn't have the decency to move us up to the top 4, or to drop the Mavs to the 11 spot, or to at least send Wembanyama to Charlotte. It was a disappointing night for sure.

I just have doubts of Wemby’s ability to stay healthy. 7’5” guys are something to worry about.

I agree. I think health issues will always be a concern with him. I think if he's healthy he'll be good but I also think he was overhyped to an extreme degree, to his determent, because dubbing him the greatest prospect ever, in all of sports like some media pundits did is putting unfair expectations on him.
If I had to find silver linings from the lottery, they're that we at least didn't slide backward, that there are possibilities to move up to #3, and that Scoot may even be there at #3. Another positive is that Cam Whitmore may fall a bit, perhaps closer to the Jazz's range at #9, and there maybe a possibility to move up to #7 with the Pacers looking to perhaps trade that pick.

Saw this too late. Guess we can blame our lack of lottery luck on me.

Nah, I have not been obsessed with him like everyone else. Getting Sampson vibes right now. He’s 7’5”. Last guy that tall in the league was Yao and he dealt with foot issues the whole time.
