#35 to BOS

#50 goes to OKC because of the Muscala trade

But I thought we get 33 if SA finished ahead of Houston in the lottery?

Anyway, glad to see Wembanyama go to the WC. Put him on a team like Orlando and he could be big trouble going forward.

At least Wemby is out west? It does seem awful suspicious he would land in San Antonio, but I guess history repeats itself huh?

Why suspicious? SA had as good a chance as anyone to get him.

My perspective going into the lottery is that "If the Spurs get the #1 pick then it's definitely rigged" and here we are.

I don’t think anyone gives a **** about SA. But that is just one man’s opinion.

Robinson, Duncan and now Wembanyama? Yeah I mean...that's a little fishy lol

Good news is I'll be able to catch some of his games pretty cheap. Only a couple hours from SA

question is, for how long?

Pop is very old. And he already has the record for most wins by a coach. He probably only coaches Wemby for 1 or 2 years.

Whoever replaces him, that will be a very sought after job.

Spurs all of a sudden looking like a promising young team.

Wemby at the 5, Sochan at the 4, Keldon Johnson at the 3, Vassell at the 3. Branham and Wesley were 1st round picks last year.

They'll be fun to watch over the next few years.

At least Wemby will be in the opposite conference from us. That was my one hope for where Wemby goes - was just hoping it would be out west so we don't have to face him as many times each season and we won't have to face him in the eastern conference playoffs haha.

It's suspicious because:

a) How they get david robinson, tim duncan and wemby all with the 1st pick?

b) The team Wemby played for this season is owned by former Spur, Boris Diaw. The team Wemby played for last season is owned by former Spur, Tony Parker.

That's a fair comparison except this kid is actually bigger..

Gallo (when he was younger and in his prime, which is what we should be comparing) was much more mobile, more athletic and more skilled with the ball in his hands (driving, handling the ball, posting up, making nifty passes, leading the break) than Vukcevic.

Vukcevic is more like a taller Matt Bonner, but with a little more upside (due to slightly better athleticism and ability to and a little more dynamic with the ball in his hands. Bonner had exceptional fundamentals and basketball IQ, though - not sure if Vukcevic has that - but Vukcevic could have more upside.

Another comp for Vukcevic (ironically) is Nikola Vucevic. Not sure Vukcevic can end up being quite that good, but if you take Vukcevic at 35, you do with with the hope that he can be as good (or close it it) as Vucevic. Vucevic is a better rebounder and more skilled offensively, but if Vukcevic works hard, he could potentially end up being a similar type of player.

Nah, it's the other way around.,

We needed Rockets to get the higher lottery pick than the spurs to get 33.

It's kind of a bummer. Would have been nice to move up 2 spots. But We can still get a good player at 35.

Picking at 35 rather than 33, it does increase the odds that it's a stash pick..You pretty much never see guys picked in the top 33 get stashed.
