Anyone who is saying Philly would not accept Jrue for Maxey because of their age difference I agree.
Anyone who is saying current Maxey is better than current Jrue just stop it. And you are hearing this from a guy who literally said the moment Philly drafted Maxey "They just found the next Jrue Holiday." He is going to be a shut down PG who can hit some crucial shots at times and could be better than Jrue by next season, but he is not yet.

Probably closer than the average guy thinks though. And I'd say close enough that its debatable based upon the make up of your team. For example, with what the Bucks need on O I'd probably take Maxey. While acknowledging in a vacuum that Jrue is probably techinically the better player. But, I'm lower on Jrue than most and at some point his atrocious playoff performances is a huge huge negative that outweighs so much of the positives for him

If Dame was available for Maxey you'd have to seriously consider if it's worth it. For Jrue? You laugh at the Bucks and hang up the phone. I'd argue Jrue is a better than Maxey right now, but it's debateable. Jrue is nearing retirement and Maxey is nearing his prime.
Exactly right. Thinking we have anywhere near the assets outside of Giannis to make an offer for Maxey is delusional.
Cool, just ignore the actual Philly fanbase input. It's not that crazy.
Maxey+Harris to the highest bidder is likely Morey's plan.
What relevance though would Philly Realgm poster input have into the decisions the FO will/won't make?
Not saying Morey would never trade Maxey but he's just finished his third year, is averaging 20/3/3 at a 60TS% (and he's only 22). Morey would have way better suitors than a package of Jrue/Bobby (and I love Jrue, but he's about to turn 33 and maybe has a couple of good years left).

He should be beyond cheap to acquire. Not a very good player. Covid year draft head scratcher.

If Jrue and Bobby nets Maxey and Philly is insane enough to do something like that, we should do that without a doubt. Maxey is good enough that we would remain very competitive, but also have an infusion of a young dynamic guard. I just couldn’t see Philly doing that

As much relevance as whether or not we would consider a deal for our guys. It means it is not a delusional proposal.
Maxey is due the max next year. He is a valuable piece, but not some superstar either. Jrue is an all-star, all-defensive player that fits perfectly with Harden and Portis is a good fit next to Embiid-- if it were crazy, Philly fans would have shot it down. Not saying it is likely, just not delusional.

The bolded part is a really important thing to consider. Fans love Maxey now like most promising young players, but once the young promising players get paid, the expectations change. Fans loved Herro, Poole, Fox, Porzingis, Murray etc.. Some of these guys are TBD, some of these guys turned out good, some turned out bad. But that part has to be considered in valuation and I still feel like a lot of teams handle that wrong.

DeRozan is one of the worst playoff performers of all-time relative to his regular season production.
Dude has routinely put up stinkers in the playoff.
Once again, there is zero sense in moving Khris unless its a gap year & Jrue is going out too.
Assuming we’re simply reloading, the biggest add needs to be an additional high level ballhander & a versatile forward.

Blazers getting the 3rd pick and guaranteeing them one of Scoot or Miller is gonna make the Dame stuff super interesting. No doubt his preference would be to trade the pick for an established guy, but if I'm Portland I only would have shopped the pick if it fell outside the Top-3. Think we're at the inevitable "it's best for both parties to move on" stage and it's only a matter of what teams will inevitably be on the list for him.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if both Charlotte and Portland shop their picks to see if they can bring in an all star.
Trading Lillard is a tough call. Team building wise it’s objectively the right thing to do at this point, but he’s larger than life there. If he wants out then they for sure help make that happen but if he wants to stay, I think they have a really difficult decision to make.

I'd absolutely deal Jrue for the 3rd pick and then draft either Scoot or Brandon Miller

Lol, absolutely no way Portland trades the 3rd pick for Jrue. Not even for Middleton. They can do much better.

Out of curiosity who do you think Portland can get for the 3rd pick? In a vacuum I think I agree with you but in reality I don't know many star players who are available right now

Siakam? Honestly, I don’t think he helps Portland enough to all of a sudden make them some contender

I don't buy that they're either A) serious about trading the pick, or B) that they could do "much better" than Jrue, which therefore justifies A)
Portland is gonna be looking at the Jrue, Beal, Siakam, Brandon Ingram tier guys and at the end of the day, you tell me if that's worth sacrificing the 3rd pick for just to pair a Top 20-30ish guy with an aging Dame (I certainly don't think so).

Pacers have 7, 26 and 29.
They seem plenty likely to make a consolidation trade.

Jrue with his contract would be a good get for the 3rd pick especially with their timeline if POR chooses to do so. I do think think they can get better assets (i.e picks), but for impact players and a team trying to win right now, Jrue is as good as it gets IMO.

Use non Giannis/Jrue/Middleton assets to get salary filler (Theis and McConnell) and #26 and #29 from Indiana. Draft Noah Clowney and Marcus Sasser. Profit.
