Well if Nick Nurse is hired, it opens up trade for PG, Kawhi, Siakam or OG.

We need someone who can carry Harden and Embiid if both decides not to show up.

(yikes)

Only Kawhi can carry but he's made out of glass. The rest are same as Harden/Embiid.

If we could somehow get OG without losing Maxey, that would be amazing.

He still has the ability to be an elite facilitator on offense. He should be the 3rd scoring option though who can take over from time to time.

Fine, but he's not getting any younger. He wants a 4 year contract, and the type of player he needs to defer to in order to get over the hump is not coming. Nor developing. Plus he reportedly wants to score and not facilitate like Rivers had him doing

I know fan bases need something to hang onto, but playing a different style isn't the problem, because that style relies more on Harden and you can't rely on Harden. Steep steep discounts would be needed

I agree with Hinkie about Harden being an elite facilitator and third option. I think that’s his best role.

But maxey as second option?

Thats what im not sure of.

I think Masai's price for OG will be too steep especially to a division rival like the Sixers. I remember he reportedly wanted Maxey and multiple picks for a 35 year old Lowry at the deadline a couple of years ago. I can only imagine that OG's price will be even higher.

True. Ain't gonna be easy.

You know what?

Get Kawhi and let him rest until playoffs.

According to reports from the top reporters in the business, he doesn't want to run an offense centered around another star. Now he's going to choose 3rd option?

I am not sure either, especially in the halfcourt in the playoffs. I am not a Lavine fan but maybe there is a deal with the Bulls to be made where we send them Maxey/Tobias and get back Caruso/Lavine.

That deal sucks. Lavine is a choker too who is not worth that massive contract.

I'd rather keep Maxey.

Just tell him that the first two options are just decoy, he’s the main option

We got two guys on the team who wants to be first option.

James Harden and Furkan Korkmaz.

Crazy how this turned up to be not scripted. I remember there were some guys (including me) who thought this was scripted and Doc knew he was on mic.

Yeah, i also see Lavine as the top candidate for now. 1.09ppp on ISO. 25-ish ppg on the %s that suits this team. Alpha scorer mentality.

2 of Biid, Lavine and Harden can beat good teams in 7 game series.

You like Caruso? Hopefully we can get Patrick Williams back? If we get Caruso, I’d like to trade him for some 4 with decent defense a realible shooting.

I think we need another defensive stopper on the perimeter to compete with Boston. Caruso is a bulldog. I think he would be a great addition. I don't love trading Maxey for htis package but we only have on year of him on a rookie deal. Lavine would give us some much needed athleticism.

Zach isn't the alpha on a team with DeMar DeRozan as it's best player, so I don't think he'd be that here.

I'd rather just roll with Maxey and bank on further development and increased assertiveness. They beg that guy to shoot more, they'd be doing the opposite with Zach.

He’ll never be alpha here. But he’s a guy who can go Jason Tatum G7 or Harden G1 and G4 for us that is very valuable in today’s NBA.

Im OK with Maxey, prior to Celts series. Where I thought Biid and Harden can be top tier alphas. I was wrong.

Im not a big fan of Lavine either but you dont really have any choice. The only options I can see now is PG and Kawhi in Clippers, Lavine in Chicago and Cam Thomas in BKN. You need someone who can shoot 3s, average 25ppg-ish on 1.00-ish ppp on ISO.

If we opt to build around Harden and Embiid, we need someone who can carry Harden and Embiid on offense where they can focus on facilitating and defense if both guys decide to choke.
