Agreed, not really interested in any victory laps with Bud just because the coaching search post-firing has been bizarre. Bud wasn’t a good playoff coach, straight up. Glaring flaws that repeatedly showed up time after time for most of his playoff coaching career, and was a huge (if not the biggest) factor in yet another catastrophic playoff exit.
There are very good to elite level coaches with HC experience either on the market now or could be soon (Lue, Nurse, Atkinson, Vogel, etc). There are promising young assistant coaches ready for a step up (Quinn, Fernandez, Young). The Bucks could **** it up but it’s a separate event and it doesn’t just erase Bud’s failures as a playoff coach.
