There’s an edited video of Giannis reacting to joining the warriors going around. Of course it’s edited to exclude him saying nah I’m not that kind of guy. Zach Gelb from CBS radio retweeted it and I told him to do better and showed him the full video and he deleted his tweet about it and DMed me. I feel like I helped to my part to keep Giannis in Milwaukee this morning.

According to Game Score (so going back to 1979), Giannis has three of the 25 best performances in NBA history (#2, #13, and #17).

Which games were those? I assume #2 is game 6.

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks | Game score: 42.0
2021 Finals: Game 6 vs. Phoenix Suns

With the Bucks one win away from winning their first NBA title in 50 years, all it took was Antetokounmpo having one of the greatest games in Finals history to end their drought.

Antetokounmpo finished with 50 points on 16-for-25 shooting from the field to go along with 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocks was one thing. But for him to also go 17-for-19 from the free throw line, after all of the chatter about his foul shooting during the postseason, was the definition of rising to meet the moment.

And, as a result, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks were able to celebrate a championship on their home floor in Milwaukee.

13. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks | Game score: 37.4
2021 Finals: Game 3 vs. Phoenix Suns

When the Bucks returned home from Phoenix down 2-0 in the Finals, it looked like their storybook season would wind up being anything but.

That's where Antetokounmpo came in. With a loss all but certain to end Milwaukee's season, Antetokounmpo made sure that would not happen, going for 41 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists in just under 38 minutes, while also going -- in a precursor to his truly legendary performance in Game 6 -- 13-for-17 from the foul line. It wound up being the first of four straight wins for the Bucks in the series, as Milwaukee would go on to win its first title since 1971.

17. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks, 2021 Finals Game 2 | Game score: 36.7

FWIW I believe Giannis has the best Finals series ever going by Game Score as well. But of course, ESPN just had to do it by single-game so they could put Lebron at the top.

I hope Griffin can get through to Giannis about abandoning his jumpshot. He can’t shoot reliably and never will be able to.

Bit of a touchy subject but I think Giannis’s usage was way too high last year. A tad understandable given injury situation but defences are much better at containing the stronger parts of his game.

He’s still a dominant force but I’d love to see us lean more into his strengths inside the key and diversify his off ball movement.

He made great strides with his mid-range game from 2021 to 2022 but for whatever reason he tends to abandon that part of his game. At some point he has to continue to work on and trust more of a finesse game.

Funniest part is that Panathinaikos was getting killed by Olympiakos. Gianni was there with his brothers as he's a big Olympiakos fan (grew up idolizing Spanoulis).
