From Woj's list, my preferred order is:
1) Monty Williams
2) Nick Nurse
3) Mike Budenholzer
4) Sam Cassell
5) Frank Vogel
6) Mike D'Antoni
Dave Joerger should be on the poll.

Brian Goorjian.

Bring Delly and Mills into the backcourt, trade for Green and Daniels, give Aron Baynes another shot, convince Tyrese Proctor to enter the draft, get Ingles to opt-out at the Bucks. Boom - Championship!!

My choice would be Nick Nurse. However, Frank Vogel is a much better coach then peope are giving him credit for. His accomplishments right up there with any of them. My person list Nurse, Vogel, Monty Williams in that order.

Monty Williams. He put the Suns on the map. He echoes Dantoni but not as extreme, which is good. All the candidates are accomplished and seem like a sure upgrade. I like Nurse too.

I think it will be Nurse. Not a bad choice if it happens

Gotcha. I was referring to this band and the guy second from the left.

I’m suprised Morey is not looking at Kelvin Sampson. This guy is a hell of a coach . The bucks are going to interview him. He will be a damn good coach.

Has he ever coached on the NBA level? If not, 67 is kind of old to be a first-time head coach but better late than never I suppose.

He was the Bucks assistant, Rockets assistant and head coach of the Houston cougars . He and Harden are also really tight

Gotcha. He couldn't be any worse than Rivers at this point.

One of the big things is to look for a coach that not just guys on the team, but also players you might want to bring in Aldo want to play for. Doc was a bit polarizing in that respect, some of his former players wanted to come here, but he was a hard no to a lot of players as well.

As for MDA, the moment he would be announced as the head coach is the moment Embiid takes his first step out the door.

Morey should be looking for the next assistant ready to ascend, not looking for the guy from 5 years ago

No thanks on Nurse, Vogel, Monty, Bud, Jackson
D'Antoni would be an unmitigated disaster
I wanted Cassell when they hired Doc, not sure he's the guy if Harden returns - would consider if Harden leaves and they rely on Maxey to take another step

The big wild card is Ty Lue. Everyone expects him to part ways with the Clippers & he’ll get to pick between the Bucks, Suns, and Sixers. I’m guessing we’d probably be last on that list but it’s not crazy to think that he’d think he could take Harden/Embiid/Maxey to the next level.

If Ty Lue is available he's 100% my pick. Over everyone else. Should have hired him in the 1st place, and not Doc. He's the 2nd best coach in the league after Spoelstra.

No it is crazy to think that, because as mentioned in another thread just now, none of those players meets the requirement for leading a team to a championship. Thinking Ty Lue is going to transform Embiid, Harden, or Maxey into what's needed to win an NBA championship is like thinking Andy Reid for example could transform Derrick Henry into the kind of player whose production can overcome that of an elite QB in the NFL. That isn't happening. The team simply doesn't have the kind of player necessary to spearhead a championship in today's NBA, and there is no coach on the planet who has the power to fix that.

Coaches have egos too & Ty Lue wouldn’t be the first talented coach to convince himself that he’s the missing link to a teams success.

Vogel didn't deserve to be fired but he shouldn't be the guy we hire.

That Lakers team was very underrated. AD, Caruso, KCP, Danny Green, Lebron, Kuzma... they were very good. He was terrible in Orlando.

I'll take Nick Nurse or Mike D'Antoni. If we have harden I'd prefer D'Antoni and if we don't I'd prefer Nurse.

I believe Lue has two years and $14 million left on his contract so unless a team is willing to compensate the Clippers like they did the Celtics when they traded a 1st rd pick for Rivers then Lue is not going anywhere.
