Rockets the only team to fill their vacancy. April 25.

Pistons job opened up April 9. No doubt the hiring has been on hold pending last night's lottery.

Raptors job opened up April 21. Not sure what the hold up is.

Bucks job opened up May 4.

Suns job opened up May 14.

Sixers job opened up May 16.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Still can't believe Udoka took that Houston gig so fast. What the hell was he thinking?

If it's not filled in the next day or two I'll redo the poll in a day or two as we've had more candidates identified.

What's folks's issue with Sampson? I recall he had some recruiting violations (which I couldn't care less about), but did he have some other issues that I'm forgetting?

A bunch of recruiting stuff but other than that he's pretty well regarded as a coach. Since he interviewed with the Bucks Houston has offered to redo his contract so the interview may have been a courtesy to him/his agent to get him more $$$

I was randomly listening to Grant Bilse show on 96.7 and he apparently knows someone within the organization that passed along some tidbits. One is Giannis and the Bucks really like Lue. If they can't get him then Monty is high on their list. Take it with a grain of salt cause who knows if his sources are real, but I'm hearing the Lue thing more and more.

Don’t get my hopes up with this Ty Lue stuff, he’s been my #1 guy through all this. he’s like the anti-Bud as a playoff coach lol.

Ty Lue would be the one coach they could hire that I think would be a legitimate upgrade on Bud

There's a heap of talent in that roster, they just lacking maturity and experience. Udoka obviously believes he can get that team to realise their potential.

Yeah I’m on the Lue train, so it probably won’t happen, but he’s the best name.

That would salvage this mess but it feels like a longshot now. Lue seems to be leveraging the buzz for an even fatter extension.

The recruiting stuff was the most benign stuff. If you wanted to give an example of how ridiculous the NCAA is you'd use the Sampson punishment. He got the most severe punishment you can get and it was pretty much because he was texting Eric Gordon a lot

Any tidbits on us being interested in Monty Williams is pretty annoying. Good guy, totally "fine" coach. Not what we need. Not who we fired our title winning coach for.

Nothing in Ballmer's track record since he bought the team suggests him being frugal in any way, but especially the non-capped aspects of the team. If there's any owner who would just give his coach a 5 million a year raise because the guy asked nicely it would be Ballmer. If Lue wants out its going to be because he doesn't think they'll ever be able to get Kawhi and PG healthy for a playoff run (a not unreasonable belief).

This would be a dream come true with Lue.

Lue or Nurse for me. Anyone else and I'll be extremely disappointed.
