Who else is in the mix for acquiring Portland’s pick? Minnesota/Towns? What else could they possibly pull off?

1. That probably doesn't work in the trade checker. We'd also need to take Nurkic's deal back
2. Can't give up Precious and Siakam in the same trade. Raps would be too thin up front.
3. I highly doubt Portland is willing to give up Simons AND the #3. But it's basically impossible to acquire Siakam's contract without sending Simons the other way.
So I don't see a Pascal for #3 trade happening. OG salary is easier to facilitate, but he's not worth the #3. And Raps don't have enough depth to include anything with him, especially the #13. So ...

Some ya'll really need to stop dreaming that we're getting Shaedon without OG being included lol
The Blazers aren't going to use up ALL their best assets essentially for JUST Siakam. Don't give me no junk about Kenneth "Precious" Faried lol he's not making any major difference and the whole point of trading all their best assets would be to make sure as much IMMEDIATE help as possible so the 13th pick who may or may not be an effective piece right away will not be enough.
Personally I think they will try to hold on to Shaedon for either life post-Dame OR to use in another trade package for a different star which makes much more sense imo.

Ya I agree it's rich from Portlands side but I also think they're very desperate to help Lillard. Cavs traded Wiggins (who was expected to be a superstar) and other good assets for Kevin friggin Love because of Lebron.
They would also get the 13th pick + Precious + couple 2nd rounders to trade for another impact player. I'm just too lazy to think of a good 3 way trade lol.

siakam, og for 3, sharpe, nurk, simons is a solid deal, only issue is. if the pick is scoot then we become a really small team

Not really tbh...
Scoot is 6'2 with a STRONG frame and long wingspan, not to mention an explosive athlete that plays bigger than his actual size ala Donovan Mitchell & Shaedon is damn near an ideal SG size at 6'6 with a 7ft wingspan which is ABOVE league average with arguably the best hops in the league with Ja. For example, Sharpe is taller and longer than Edwards, Green, Mitchell, Booker, Murray, Harden, Smart, Beal, Bane, Poole, Simons etc and the list goes on but those are most of the top SGs that Sharpe is bigger than and his measurements are actually almost identical to Jaylen Brown who absolutely no one looks at as a small guard lol
...and the Raps could easily draft Coulibaly at 13 who's even longer than OG at apparently 6'8 with a 7'3 wingspan, so really height/length wouldn't be an issue at all and would actually be an improvement across the board in that hypothetical.

Re: Trade Pascal to Portland/Warriors?
Only way this team gets saved in my mind is if we somehow pull off the trade with Portland....
People saying we will get Simons + Sharpe in the deal as well are missing the point lol....Portland want to compete they are not going to trade all their depth as well as the pick....
If we could somehow keep our 13th pick and just give up OG/Siakam in a deal somehow someway id love that...
Drafting Scoot 3 And also having the 13th ontop of that would be ideal...Scoot, 13th pick + Barnes would be a good little start to a rebuild here...Just will suck cause we would be not so good next year and Owe Spurs our pick unless we are top 4 bad next year.

Don't think Minny is in the mix, they traded everything to win now with Gobert. Trading Towns means losing immediate talent for a pick that might not develop for 2/3 years.
Same thing with Masai, don't expect him to pivot from going all in for the playoffs by trading for Poeltl to trading Siakam or OG. He will use the new coach as the reason to keep the current roster intact and keep building and preaching patience with this core.
This is like the tanking threads, keep hoping for a trade/rebuilt but it won't happen.

PRESTIGE wrote:Siakam and OG’s value is likely nowhere near as high as fans on this board believe.
Not even close.....More likely scenario is Blazers want both OG/Siakam from us without giving up their depth ....
Prolly one of Simons/Sharpe (Whichever one Blazers want to trade) + Reddish + Little + 3 for OG/Siakam would make sense...
That way the Blazers could run with a contender team of
Lillard
Simons or Sharpe
OG
Siakam
Nurk
With Grant as the 6th man
Thats an actual pretty good team for Lillard to build with

Blazers are not getting both OG and Siakam and we are not getting Sharpe.

These trades are beyond laughable.
Start with putting Siakam and OG in the trade, with Raptors getting back either #3 or Sharpe (not both), then match salaries if possible

Re: Trade Pascal to Portland/Warriors?
OG + Siakam for #3 + Simons + Nuric + big Filter + POR 2024 1st
That’s what your looking at if Raptors actually want to try and get the #3 pick with our set of “believe in yourself, believe in your city” depressed assets

If you think that is what the #3 is worth, wow.
All-defense 2 way wing, all-star/all-NBA (with team success) for #3, worst defensive guard in league, chronically injured big and a future first (btw, Portland can't trade a future first because of restrictions on pick to Chicago).

Re: Trade Pascal to Portland/Warriors?
The discourse online around Siakam is so wild lol.
Literally every fanbase thinks he’s a scrub or something. I’m seeing Portland fans saying they rather get Mikal than Siakam.
Like I get he isn’t the sexiest player to watch in terms of his game but man, that bubble series 3 years ago has done irreparable damage to his name.

Re: Trade Pascal to Portland/Warriors?
Purely asset-wise:
Siakam, OG, Precious, #13 for Simons, Nurkic, Sharpe, #3.
Doesn't work as a trade, so further moves would need to be made to set it up, but I think this is fairly equal value and both teams should feel like they are parting with a bit too much in their eyes, the sign of a good trade.
Afterwards, moving Nurkic shouldn't be too hard for a quality roleplayer and re-signing Poeltl is an absolute must.

I think there is always undervaluing of Raptor players (and Raptor fans overvalue) because most non Toronto fans don't see many Raptor games.
Ever since Kawhi left, Siakam has been thrust into a role he isn't suited for (like a lot of well-paid NBA players). Stick him next to Kawhi again or Lillard and watch him thrive with people fawning over him. He's actually a much better player now than when he played next to Kawhi, he just can't be the main focus of the opposition.

It's crazy because he's an ideal player to play off a shooter and #1 option like Lillard.
Siakam consistently faces so many doubles and triples in Toronto because there's really no one else teams need to worry about, yet he's still able to score on relatively average efficiency even with no consistent 3 ball. This doesn't even take into account his amazing passing ability and the fact POR could really use his defense (which should improve with less offensive responsibility). Not many players in the league averaging 24/8/6.
Portland should trade Lillard and rebuild/retool, but if they're trying to compete, a Lillard/Siakam duo would compete for homecourt in the West, I'm pretty certain of that.

Re: Trade Pascal to Portland/Warriors?
It's hard to construct a POR/TOR trade without Nurk involved which could be a problem. He's making close to 20M a year for the next 3 years which isn't terrible if you need a C, but he'd be dead money on the Raps with Poeltl.
Simons + Nurk + #3 for Siakam is solid value overall if you're looking to reset, but I'd consider Nurk a negative asset, so I think POR would need to compensate for that in some way, maybe in the form of #23.
The minimum I'd probably accept is #3, #23, Simons, Nurk for Siakam.

Dallas would need to sweeten the pot though, unless their pick moves up
I'd demand 4-5 FRPs from Dallas (including this year's pick). Unfortunately, given Luka's age, all those picks will probably be high (unless Luka leaves). I'm also not sure what years' picks they have available to trade.
I will say that from a fan perspective, I'd enjoy watching a Luka-Pascal-Kyrie team.
Dallas has no picks to trade. They literally can only start trading picks from the 2030s on...
