Thinking about out current needs - And if we're in win now mode - we better think bout what we need in the next few years :

1. A legit, ready, consistent 3 point shooter to compliment Bam and Jimmy.
2. A legit defender, preferably switchable, preferably someone with plus athleticism and length.

Anything else is secondary. We shouldn't be looking for a future star or even a second offensive option at #18.

Get some hungry kid that can compliment our cornerstone and bring those 2 requaiments big time from the start.

I think Tristan Vukčević has shot up the boards in becoming a mid first round talent.

Measure at 6'11.25 without shoes. And looked like a man among boys in the scrimages

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Marquette

After testing well Monday, Prosper continued his positive week in Chicago on Wednesday with an impressive scrimmage performance. He led his team with 21 points and also kicked in seven rebounds, showing off his versatile skill set to NBA teams in the process. HIs 40-plus inch vertical registered Monday was notable, and Prosper showed off that plus athleticism early in the scrimmage with a thunderous dunk in traffic. He later flashed his ability to stretch the floor, guard multiple positions and handle the ball, all things that make him a valued commodity at the next level. Prosper’s shooting drill numbers also exceeded expectations, and while his shot mechanics are still somewhat slow, the Montreal native looks more and more like a guy who could rise to the top part of the second round.

His manager completely f'ed up his development by sending him to powerhouse Euroleague teams(Real Madrid/Partizan) and playing for a psychotic (and amazing) coach who just destroyed him this year, instead of doing what Jovic did and going to Mega to develop. He's a mix of the NBA version of Bjelica and former NBA player Skal Labissiare, he's got that Bjelly skill with bombing 3's and good bullet passing and post game/fadeaways that Skal had.

His defense is an atrocious and I think the Heat could help him lots there he's talented but a bit soft atm both physically and mentally but the skills are legit he well worth a gamble in the 2nd round. I personally think Nikola Durisic (6'7 at the combine) is a way better prospect if he decides to come out this year he's a cross between ultra poor mans Luka/Devin Booker if he can improve his shot (form looks good) he will be imo a beast He might not enter this year since his shooting % were bad but if he's there in the late 1st/early 2nd that's a steal.

Ben Sheppard has also turned some heads and shown he belongs in these nba draft streets. The prettiest shooter in this draft.

Jett not getting passed the Lakers at 17. Lebron will make the pick himself. I agree though that if he’s sitting at 18 we’ll be obligated to take him cause we are a loyal franchise and value relationships.

Pacers willing to move some picks? 26 and 29 in play it seems. I could easily come up with a handful of guys we could draft in that range that would help. We cant afford to pay our G League guys big contracts. Need some cheap contracts.

Grant hasn't actually been a good defender for a while. His metrics are pretty terrible on that end. I'd still take him tho lol

And are those players worth it

Worth noting that there were not many projected first rounders that took part in the NBA Draft Combine scrimmages unfortunately.

Wizards will be burning up the phones in order to try and move up to get Scoot at 2 or 3. Wizards are also in a cap conundrum if they end up resigning both Porzingis and Kuzma. Would the Wiz trade Beal to the the Blazers for lets say Simons and Little with a swap of the 3 and 8 picks? Would save the Wiz 16.3 million in cap space and they would end up getting a young replacement for Beal in Simons and there PG of the future in Scoot. Blazers would then get Beal as a running mate to Lillard and draft a solid player at 8 like a Gradey Dick to be there starting SF. Could be a very interesting scenario if the Blazers are really about trying to find another vet star to run with Lillard for the next few years.

C Jusuf Nurkic
PF Jerami Grant
SF Gradey Dick or SF/SG Shaedon Sharpe
SG Bradley Beal
PG Damian Lillard

C Kristaps Prozingis
PF Kyle Kuzma
SF Nassir Little
SG Anfernee Simons
PG Scoot Henderson

I say this would be a win win for both teams.
