I think that stopped after Game 6 against the Sixers.

This is a different Boston Celtics team.

It's like they aged a few years after that Game 6 victory in Philly.

I always pick a Celtics sweep until proven otherwise.

Celtics in 6. I trust Jimmy and I trust Spo (more than any of them). I think they'll get two games based on a tough-as-hell win on Butler's back and Spo will have a masterclass in another.

I'm picking 5 because I think that's the best way for the Celtics to advance.

I want nothing of Butler and Spo in key elimination games.

Well Philly might be the only team that panics more than us at the end of games so let's hold off on saying we had a ton to do with them scoring 13 points and Harden and Embiid choking and quiting.

That's their entire career MO lol.

We'll find out this series maybe (hopefully not, let's get a 10+ lead with 2 minutes to go please for at least 4 of the next 5 games).

People are building up Jimmy Butler to be some kind of god. This core has dispatched Durant, Giannis, and Embiid from the playoffs over the last year. They can certainly handle Jimmy. Celtics in 5

And Jimmy himself lol.

And Jimmy himself, with a better team around him and a crippled Robert Williams. We’ve been here before with this heat team. They aren’t going to sneak up on Boston. Smart and others have been singing their praises since the playoffs started. Philly was a much better team than these guys with better stars, better perimeter defenders and better 3 point shooters. Celtics have no excuses not to win this series in convincing fashion

Celtics in 6 is the fashionable choice for a reason -- the playoffs are hard and the Heat are playing well. These teams went 7 last year, split 4 RS games this year (Heat 2-1 when Butler played?), and you're right no one's sneaking up on anyone -- that goes both ways.

PHI didn't have 'better stars' with a hobbled Embiid and a checked-out fat Harden. Butler is playing at a HOF level and Bam his normal All Star one.

I can see anything from Celtics in 5 to Celtics in 7. So I split the difference and voted Celtics in 6.

We are the better team with better players. We have two studs to their one, and all our guys are versatile and play both ends. So we win the series. But I know Spo and Jimmy are going to make it super tough and probably steal a game or two we could have won.

I've got Celtics in 6 but it should be 5.

I do think this might be the last series this team wins this year UNLESS they finally kick their focus issues for good (or Joe suddenly gets a clue).

You were saying???

I told you in a previous game thread not to underestimate the Heat. Their coaching advantage is simply superior, and Jimmy has proven to be a Celtics killer time and time again. This team just finds ways to win.

Don't go saying crap like this is gonna be a backdoor sweep now, because it won't be. Heat are just too tough.

I didn't get my sweep so all I'm going to say now is the Celtics is still winning this series.

Series would've been and over and the Sixers advancing after Harden scored 45 points in Game 1, right?

Bums get lucky sometimes.

Miracle shot after miracle shot.

I doubt the Heat can sustain that kind of hot shooting the whole series.

Good luck with that!

I saw open shot after open shot. In rhythm, too. Celtics offered very little resistance defensively.
Calling the Heat 'bums' or 'lucky' seems non-sensical, but regardless of whether we thought this series was going to be easy and are wrong, or thought it would be challenging and are so far correct, we all want the same thing: Celtics advance to the Finals. Hard to get there though if you don't respect your opponent!

Changing my prediction to C's in 7. I don't think they do it in 6 and I have serious doubts they do it at all.

Me too. C’s in 7.
I would have preferred the celtics play on the road the first 2 games. Something is wrong with this team playing at home.

Celtics in 5 has always been my prediction.

But Joe will try his best to make it a 7 game loss.
