Not exciting, pass:
Charles Lee

Monty Williams
Adrian Griffin

Wtf are we thinking, why did they even get an interview:
Kelvin Sampson
Joseph Blair
Scott Brooks

Idek what to name this category it’s so bad:
Mark Jackson

I do wonder if they are bringing some more seasoned coaches in because they are thinking of going young, maybe first time head coach and want to see what veteran coaching assistants might be interested??? Would at least kind of explain Kelvin Sampson interviewing for the Bucks head coaching role for like the 10th straight time???

The Clipper's GM interviewed to be the Wizards POBO. Could be the first domino in a Lue exit.

Yahoo reporting Scott Brooks left a strong impression. Impression of what? Being a bad coaching hire? Doc would also go in that same category, maybe even the one with mark Jackson

^ Yep here is Jake Fischer’s latest yahoo piece that has decent amount of Bucks stuff: https://sports.yahoo.com/bob-myers-uncertain-warriors-future-wizards-general-manager-opening-remain-top-of-conversation-at-nba-draft-combine-144911608.html

Bucks notes:
- Monty will “feature prominently”
- Scott Brooks left a good impression
- There’s pessimism that Lue can be poached from the Clippers because Ballmer really likes him and still has championship hopes with Kawhi/PG
- Bucks are interviewing Will Weaver, a coach in France

So basically a bunch of annoying stuff lol.

Russ wants Scott Brooks to get a gig so bad so he can play 30 minutes a night.

I actually don't hate Scott Brooks as much as thus board does, that said he'd be a clear downgrade from Bud

Only upgrades are gonna be the assistants getting their 1st gig and running away with it. It’s just a “time will tell” hiring at this point. Every candidate that’s been a prior HC is either “meh” or “barf” at this point. The unknown is looking like the best option we have considering Bud had as much success as he did and getting stuck with someone like Doc Rivers or Mark Jackson is a death sentence for a Giannis extension.

Per Fischer Philly is only interviewing Bud, Vogel, Nurse, D'Antoni, Monty, and Cassell. I wish that's how Horst was running this process, only looking at guys who have had legit success in the league

Its to bad we have bucks beat writers who have zero balls to ask horst that exact question would love to hear why hes interviewed 15 guys or so instead of the top 5 guys

That would require Horst to agree to an interview, he did one when he started the search but we likely won't hear from him again until a coach is named

Ok lets see if anyone asks that question if the bucks name a HC not in that list in your post

I don’t mind that we are casting a wide net, but there’s no rhyme or reason to our search. It’s a bunch of randoms.

No idea who he is BUT I love the idea of having a coach in house that has/had their finger on the pulse of international bball in some capacity.

It feels like we're a 25 win team looking for a coach.

Maybe we just filtered a linkedin search for 'open to work' and 'basketball'

In an age when so many interviews (in every industry) are done via zoom/virtual… why wouldn’t you talk to a bunch of people and get free consulting? Some of you are acting like Herb is sitting at the best table at the Fister Hotel wining and dining all these guys on our dime.

Yeah I'd do it the exact same way. Interview everyone and ask them what they would've done differently.
