Portland fans and Raptors fans have something in common:

We both see thr current path is untenable...and have young prospects that should mean a pivot to going younger...but front office's still want to compete.

Simons + #3 (Scoot) is good enough for Pascal for me. I hope we don't get greedy and Sharpe becomes a dealbreaker

This situation is the EXACT reason why the NBA needs to allow you retain salary. It works well in the NHL and allows a lot more trade flexibility for teams.

Siakam only has one year left, imagine if we had the ability to pay half his salary and only need to take back $19M of salary.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Pascal doesn't make them a championship team anyways. More realistic is...

Pascal and OG for Grant(sign and trade) or Nurk, Sharpe, 3. you can throw in Nicholson's contract and knox as well.

Zach Lowe apparently "doubts" #3 and Simons would be enough to acquire OG or Mikal Bridges (per wiretap).

Would love to know if that is a real quote or a classic wiretap **** up.

Pretty sure you cannot just throw in contrats from dudes who have been released.

We overvalue our players if that is the case. I think 3 alone for expiring OG who hasnt played more than 70 games in a season since his rookie year would be more than enough.

Only delusual Siakam fanboys cannot see that getting Simmons and Scoot would be great for longterm success. Has Siakam done anything great in 4 seasons? He is no Jimmy Butler and Raptors going no where with him making 50 million a season

Not really, he is a overhyped choke machine

I'm thinking former ROY, Scottie Barnes...but if you think Jeff Dowtin's one of them...you're entitled to your own opinion.

And ya...I think we need to sell on Pascal and OG...for the record.

Well its less likely every day that Henderson is even around at 3 anymore so there goes that idea.

Somebody good is going to be left at #3, I'd almost rather Miller tbh. If we go that route at all.

Honestly, this team is so starved for good young talent...either or is fine with me...if we ever get close enough to make that pick. Beggars can't be choosers.

Anywhere in the top 4...I'd be ecstatic at who we'd get.

****...we should have tanked. Wouldn't be on the outside looking in when we really need to turn this roster over.

Good find.
I was expecting a ‘loss in transitional’ type of correction tweet.

I would bet if half the interviewing teams are going to pass on him, unimpressed, that would include Toronto.

He says Portland wouldn't consider #3 and Simons for OG. #3 and Simons for Pascal? That's a different story? 2-time all-NBA, 2-time all-star and legit 2nd star on a championship team. And ya...he'd likely stick around and sign a new contract considering he's not considered a flight risk.

He checks a lot of boxes, 6'9" can shoot/block and steal.

Even if we tanked, this roster wasn't bad enough to be bottom 5... You think we were going to out-tank the likes of Pistons, Spurs, Rockets, Hornets, Blazers, etc?
