I went to my search history past and found i was proposing:

Jamal Murray for
Gordon , 2018 pick ( turned into Bamba)

damn it

Pepe, do you think Simons could be our Murray? or Poole?
Certainly some $$ and efficiency concerns with Poole, but aren't they, possibly, in the same mold as Murray (obviously not there yet but...)?

Cason Wallace, Nick Smith??

Imo, Simons can be very good offensive player.
I think Poole lacks composure and chases glory shots too much.

I think Herro can be more of Murray than any of them, but i don't think Heat would trade him.

Maybe Maxey can be Murray like? He had excellent playoffs, his dummy "stars" are just ignorant and don't see they are their problems.

Agreed about Herro and (maybe) Maxey...I'd throw multiple picks at either of them...I like Simons as the safest bet, he shoots 3's like layups-so casual and quick, most significantly, might be readily available THIS summer.

I assume 76ers can't pay Maxey pass next year and won't have any financial ability to keep him longer term, so it makes sense for them to trade him today to find longer term options. Embiid forces them into "star chase" in summer, we could use adventage of it and "help" them facilitate trade.

That would be a Brunson-type of move(gamble?) where we throw-in on a guy, promising a bigger role and a bigger payday...also, like Harden going from 6th man in OKC to reinventing PG position in HOU. Similarly, OKC let Harden go for money fears - sad to lose him but clearly not recognizing they had another MVP in their midst.

Love it. The new CBA and our youth and cap space and picks coming together at the right time to snag our young star.

Harden is walking. Next year, MAxey still on rookie deal and Harris is expiring. They absolutely can afford Maxey. Maxey is playing great, i dont see why they wouldnt. If they take picks for him, that could be interesting. very similar to Simons in play and size, but if Simons is gettable, he might be on a better contract than what Maxey might look for.

is Maxey that different than Simons? Simons might be more attainable since Portland really likes Sharpe. and getting a local kid wouldnt hurt.

Is he walking is still up in air. From what i could figure ,he didn't like role that Rivers gave him, and now Rivers is gone.
He is 34 he might opted out to get longer deal, possiblly last contract of his career.

One thing i liked about Maxey is that he stays in his line. I never really felt , especially in playoffs, this and last year, that he is chasing numbers. Yet in both years he averaged 20 ppg on very high efficieny.

It would be foolish from 76ers POV to lose him, but it wouldn't be first time in past 5 years that 76ers act crazy. We kind a know that Butler left because in past 76ers had no established leadership, from coaches to players, and with Bryan Colangelo fiasco we know they lack stability on top as well.

either would be great, but man, can Simons shoot it! I'm thinking Maxey is more of an aggressive defender to offset that. If PHI lets Harden go after firing Coach, it's another SVG/Dwight-like mess. I don't see Embiid sitting still for Harden walking.

It's a beautiful thing...can we even call him a PG? Just a different model...It's more "PnR initiator/Scoring Machine"

ot: most people liked it, so that probably means it was lobsided trade even back then

Gordon has been the least effective player for Den other than former Magic player Jeff Green

Guy retired for that one year in Orlando, played below any level possible. Now , what? 7 years later i see him beating people off dribble for dunks in playoffs

Supposedly that ref is known as a Celtics fan, and the Celtics have a ridiculously good record when he's a ref. 36-3 or something

I know we're suppose to hate the Heat on this board, but it's really hard to hate the Heat. They just play so hard, & put their all in every game. Jimmy Butler is a top 5 player in the playoffs.

The Tyler Herro injury saved their season. He's a liability on defense and the ball moves around so much better without him playing.
