lol are length and height "intangibles"? They are measured and thus by definition are tangible.

I do agree with the premise, we need some skilled players rather that guys who have the physical attributes and we're hoping they develop the skills.

Amari Bailey appears to be watching film on Jalen Brunson. His PnR game is patient. The lefty is comfortable both distributing and scoring. He doesn’t always turn the corner with force and uses excellent pace to make decisions.

I’m surprised he isn’t locked into the lottery at this point in most mocks I’ve read.

I also think he’s a fit here. Anyone else?

He's got that jamal murray twitch for sure.

Thing is, Jamal put up splits of 45/40/78 as a freshman so he was more of a sure thing.
Keyonte is that dude, I don't think he's going to fall , I like Cason just as much as well but they are all projected to go before 13

Some team has started talking down Brandon Miller. I suspect they want him to fall just enough to nab him at a slot where the risk is warranted. I doubt it's Masai. I'd look at somebody who was injured for much of the past season and might have gone top 10 if he had been healthy. That's a risk Masai would take at 13. Draftniks, who fills that bill?

I want Amari on this team but not at 13 since he’s not projected that high. I wouldn’t mind trading down or trading for an extra pick to get him though. I think he’ll have a successful career since he plays on both ends

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe the talk around town that he was playing injured during the season.

Give Fred Van Vleet the benefit of the doubt too then.

Keyonte doesn't have the feel for the game that Murray does. One of the most unappealing aspects of his game is his passing. So many stretches this year where it was just "Keyonte George turnover" "Keyonte George missed shot" over and over. He has issues defensively as well both in terms of effort and ability.

Every hyped prospect that sucked this year is claiming injury. Weird.

Thats possibly a tactic but no way he drops 10 spots, he's going top 6 without a doubt...the situation i could see though is Siakam or OG being traded to Portland and Masai goes after Miller. With that being said though, Masai does value character more then other teams so not sure how high he would be on Miller.

Coming out of this draft with B.Miller and a PG at 13 would change the direction of this franchise immediately, would be nice...

When did Keyonte George get injured?

Just looking at boxscores, it's hard to tell. Feb 25th he only played 6 mins but it doesnt seem much different before or after.

Nick Smith Jr is like the last person i would want to draft. Giving me James Bouknight vibes.

Dariq Whitehead at one point was in similar conversations with the Thompson twins. Highly rated across the board coming into the draft and apparently played with a bad foot all season. At least his injuries appear to be well documented right now.

I'm fine with George and Hawkins, but I have yet to be impressed with Smith Jr - he really looks like the 2020s version of Brendon Jennings.

re: Brandon Miller, it's all speculation right now. Could be any of Portland, Houston, or Detroit. My biggest guess would be Portland as, if they decide to keep the pick, they'd probably want Miller over Scoot. But just a guess.

re: players who were previously ranked high but got injured, I think the main names are Keyonte George, Nick Smith, and Dariq Whitehead.

I don't like NSJ either, generally speaking I don't like undersized 2 guards at all, I just have this feeling Masai is going to look for offense with this pick.

I do like Hawkins, though. George is intriguing but I'm not sold on his efficiency

Amari should be a lottery pick but his numbers were not as good as they could have been and he should have been way more aggressive. He just doesn't always act and play like a star player and can defer to teammates. It is a big difference between Keyonte George who also had veteran guards around him like Flagler and just kind of did his own thing getting up a ton of shots.

For the early part of the UCLA season Amari was just feeling his way in and really just deferring to Tyger Campbell and being a defender/role player. When injuries bumped his role up he was basically a 17/5 guard, and his numbers bumped up more when really given the opportunity to lead at the Combine scrimmages.

I really like him, high character, cerebral like Jalen Brunson, as you said. What bugs me is he doesn't show enough pull-up shooting, a key guard skill, and his at the rim finishing can often be weak. He has all this athleticism, but somehow he just doesn't always translate attacking the rim. To me, I ask if he ends up a role player like Norm Powell or something starter level.

I'm starting to take him seriously now.

I don't know about lottery but I don't think the first round is out of the question.

Whitehead, depending on what you think of him and Nick Smith Jr.
