If Anthony Black is predictably off the board, i'd be surprised to see Utah pass him up.

Also, Bobby and Dan sitting front row

If we end up getting a 2nd pick in the draft. Grab this dude and get rid of dumb and dumber (Precious/Boucher) and bring in a guy who has actual BBIQ.

That would be incredible. We need players with actual IQ. Scottie probably has a hard time not pulling his hair out after games.

No way we’re getting Ant Black but if he somehow fell it would be a gift from god

Utah has three firsts so their fallback could be Jalen Hood Schifino or NSJ. They have options but I could see ABlack.

True it's a guard heavy draft, and at 9, a guy like Hendricks or Whitmore could be available, and teams hate to pass up on potential in the mid lotto. Lauri-Hendrick-Kessler would be a humongous front court

We don't have a 2nd, but this guy is a sleeper I like in the 2nd or UDFA.

https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/?year-mock=2023

https://www.nbadraft.net/2023-extended-mock-draft-5-0/

Spoiler:
13. Toronto: Cason Wallace 6-4 195 PG/SG Kentucky Fr.

Wallace dealt with lower leg issues for much of the season that limited his effectiveness, but at his best he was one of the most intriguing guards in the nation. Wallace struggled to live up to expectations, and did not show the same pop as he did in high school, however the shooting and all around package makes him very intriguing. And his calling card is undoubtedly his ferocious and relentless perimeter defense. If the concerns related to his physicals prove to be overblown, look for him to be one of the steals of the late lotto, mid first round.

Why the Raptors take Wallace: Fred Van Vleet may have played his last game for the Raptors, which would create space for someone like Wallace in the backcourt for Toronto. Wallace has the ability to bring back the tenacity and lockdown defense that has been missing since Kyle Lowry left for Miami. Between him, Anunoby and Barnes, scoring will be a nightmare for opponents when the Raptors are at full strength.

I agree. He looks solid at a minimum, and has seemed very poised during the combine games.

Cason would be awesome, but I just don't see that many teams passing on him. I think some team in the 6-10 range will grab him.

The problem with Black is his wingspan, his shooting and he tends to disappear in big games. George is a little better but not by much.

I think he interviewed fine. He must be on the edge and nervous all the time because of the legal issue, worrying about someone asking him that question.

I’ll take Leonard Miller over Anthony Black. These mock drafts are wrong every year, man.

I don't think his wingspan is an issue. He seems to get loads of deflections, and he's going to be guarding smaller quicker players in the NBA. He's not a scorer, so there's going to be some low scoring games. Same deal with Cason. I dunno, people have Jarace Walker inked in the top 10 and he can't score, either.

There’s going to be some busts out of that group. Taking guys in the top 10 who struggle to score is super risky.

Really like Bailey and would consider him if we don't draft Bufkin. Decent 3pt shooter, good mid range, above average athleticism, decent defence, can get to the line often, flashy passes. The thing I don't like about him is some of his layups are wild or awkward especially when help comes. Would like to see him kick those out.

Nice shot and passing but he does this awkward floater to compensate for lack of speed and athleticism to attack the basket.

I'd be surprised if Utah passed on Gradey Dick if he's there. Don't think Cason or Black make it to us anyways though.

We need to hope. Not that a small clip means anything but regardless of whether or not Cason ever becomes a guy who can get to spots with ease and attack the bucket better, people are vastly underestimating his shooting ability. You can play him on ball or off ball and that versatility has value.
