Sun Country coming to Eau Claire was so nice. I can get $88 round trip tickets to Florida at any time. In September that switches to Vegas for four months.

We were outside with the kids and it literally went from like 82 to 65 in a couple minutes.

Hit the mtb trail in Tosa after work and the temps dropped and made it quite nice. Wild there was no rain with it.

All major US airlines have this btw. I’ve been able to pocket $100’s in flight credits on the ‘big 3’ doing this.

Yes but they expire a year after the original ticket was issued. Southwest never expires. I have some Southwest credit but I didn't have to consider when it expires when I booked a couple of non Southwest flights later this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If you're not afraid of the budget airlines and have some flex on the days/times of travel you might want to try Allegiant Air. They are a little **** airline that flies out of little airports. They fly from the secondary Phoenix airport in Mesa to places like Appleton and Rockford. I fly it whenever I can back to Wisconsin because I absolutely love the small airport experience. So so much more chill than the major airports and getting in and out is super fast. Downside is they typically only have a couple flights a week to destinations.
IMO the airport matters more for the overall experience than the airline. Like if I have to go to O'Hare it's probably going to suck regardless.

Agree with everything here. Had a great experience with Allegiant a couple years ago from Appleton to Fort Myers and recently flew Frontier out of Midway to Tampa.
I will never fly out of O'Hare again if there's a flight from Midway available.

Yes at this point I prefer the budget airlines. They're almost always direct flights so rarely is there an issue. And as the other airlines have jacked their prices the budget ones are now approaching 50% the cost, or even more in some cases. Back when it was Delta etc for $450 and the budget for 380, sure ok whatever. Now, the budget ones have stayed about the same while the major ones are in the 6-700 range. And I don't recall the last time I didn't have a delay or issue of some kind with a major airlines. Whereas I don't recall the last issue I've had with the budget ones. Delta's prices have just gotten absurd out of MSN.

Flew myself, my wife and 2 of my kids to and from Marco Island (from Midway) in March for under $800 total round trip on Frontier.
Now, that involved a 2 hour drive from Tampa in and a 1 1/2 hour drive to Miami out, but still. It was almost $3000 on Delta to and from Fort Myers.

Totally random thing that happened today, but I'm still annoyed about it. I was getting off the amtrak visiting my parents and some lady crossed her legs and had her entire ankle/foot in the aisle. At first I was just like whatever when i get close she'll pull that **** in, but she just kept it there as I scooted around. LOL I was actually flabbergasted.

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS, RACE OR RELIGION]
Rafa Nadal officially withdrew from the French Open this morning and indicated he won't play in the coming months either at a minimum. He may finally be approaching the end of what his body will allow him to do as a professional tennis player.
He's beaten the odds before to comeback and will do what he wants of course but I do hope if he can get healthy and fit again one more time that he considers a proper farewell tour while he can versus what happened to Federer.

Didn't see this before the last post. Sounds like his plan is indeed to try and hopefully give it one last go next year as a farewell tour.

West Ham is one win away from the UEFA Conference league title match. Would be their first appearance in 47 years, and a chance at their first European trophy ever. Needless to say today's match at 2PM CST is huge. I expect everyone hear to be watching. COYI!

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS, RACE OR RELIGION]
Happened upon a hell of a channel today.
I love baking bread but I always end up with too damn much. These little focaccia look perfect. Immediately went out and picked up two 8.5 inch by 4.5 inch loaf pans, and a 9x5 pan. Also ordered a baguette pan and couche baking linen after seeing his baguette video. His bagel video looks awesome too.
First up though is an Italian style sandwich with that confit garlic and lemon zest focaccia.

A silent benefit of budget airlines is the boarding/deboarding process is quicker. Way less people doing carryons like SW where you get it for free. Not to sound too elitist but honestly the only issue on budget airlines I've had is the people (not wearing headphones, complaining about the baggage policy, etc).

Took about five hours. Made a cheesy version with rosemary and ate it with a tomato and roasted garlic sauce. Kids, it was worth it.

With due respect, I have never seen so much cheese in a foccacia
My arteries are groaning just by staring at it from my computer screen

Looks like we're about to have a great stretch of weather in SE Wisconsin. Today is perfect. Warm, sunny, low humidity, no bugs yet. Forecast is perfect weather through the holiday weekend. Hope it lasts. Beer gardens, BBQ on the deck, Brewers are home so maybe tailgating and a game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
