How star players perform does change. Also I mean I could start going through all the times teams lost at home for the first time in the conf finals or finals but I'm not gonna do that. There's no way you can assume that the Bulls win the title in 94 with home court.

It's likely they win it with homecourt. I don't see how you can think otherwise We know how it played out all the teams were super evenly matched and homecourt was the difference every time

ok. I'd agree its possible they win it all but keep in mind that by far the best performer in those playoffs was Hakeem who I don't see the Bulls having much of any answer for. Definitely less than the Knicks did who were the #1 def in the league.

I mean, it took an all-time choke in the last few possessions to stop New York from beating the rockets in 6 and its not like the Knicks "stopped" Hakeem

What I'm saying is there's a difference between holding Hakeem to 27/9/3.6 on 56% ts in an 86 pace series to what he might do against a defense without Ewing and Oakley in a close 6-7 game series. That could definitely be a thing that would swing a series. Against the Suns for instance in game 7(in Phx) Hakeem went off for 37/17/5. I mean you know how Hakeem was in those 94-95 years in big games. I wouldn't bet on Chicago beating them even with hca(which I'm not really sure they would have either since Houston won 58 games). That's assuming they get by Indiana.

Akin to if Reggie Miller or Patrick Ewing won in 1994 - higher. Just like Hakeem would be ranked lower. None of them played better, none of them won, and it is what it is.

in 4 regular season games 94 & 95, Hakeem scored 101 pts playing lots of minutes. The home team won all 4 times. Hakeem played major minutes in all 4 games, and did have 1 bad game, scoring real well, but not going off in any of the others.
Of course we all today assume HOU would win this series, but the basic premise of the thread is , What if CHI won in 94

We all know what the premise is and also how threads take on a life of their own over time in terms of what is being discussed. Playoffs and rs aren't the same thing. Especially when two teams meet up in a finals under the biggest lights.
