His identical brother can shoot 3s..so…

Never watched a college game of his, have no clue of his stats but his brother can shoot…So…That’s all I got. :D

not really much of a case. the case against, he is almost 23 yrs old playing against 18-20 yr olds. shot starter volume this year and his 3 pt % dropped over 5%. he is a SF/PF, so would be behind our 2 core players on the team.

I think he's a legit option at 11. Especially if your strategy is to draft for fit.

There is a lot of competition for him to be a realistic option at #11. GG, Hendricks, Miller, Walker, etc. A lot of other guys that make more sense.

He's more realistic at 36 than he is at 11

His brother went 4 and is an impact player as a rookie. This isn't a younger brother but a twin, with a very similar skill set and physical profile. That said, second round would be great value

TBF Robin Lopez is the twin to Brook Lopez. One is the starting C to a championship team while the other gets to chill at Disney.

Yup, no way anyone would touch him at the #11 pick. #36 sure why not.. we trade it anyway.

And-1

For combo players, I would rather consider Maxwell Lewis.

but does he look good because he is almost 23 vs 19-20 yr olds?

He's definitely a lower quality stretch 4 prospect compared to Keegan. The question is how much lower. Keegan is likely going to be a solid starter for his career and may make an all-star game or two when all is said or done. I think Khris is a full tier below his brother. Instead of solid starter/borderline all-star projection I think it is solid role-player/border line starter projection. I think that is still a good prospect at 11 if you are willing to trade upside for low floor.

I hear what you guys are saying but we need shooters on this team and if there is a chance that he is anything like his brother, he'll be a good bet.

It's crazy to think that he is the same age as Cole Anthony, who is going into the last year of his rookie deal, and who i thought was about a year older than prospects during his draft (i may be wrong). I don't know much about Murray, other than his brother, just wondering why he didn't start a game at Iowa until he was 22 years old.

Could you imagine if we were talking about him last year as a prospect? yah this 22 year old kid got 18 minutes as a reserve on Iowa, just a really solid 9 points a game. Looks like he could really be a nice end of rotation guy in the Bundesliga

these prospects that had terrible freshman years, like Smith or GG, at least they played as a normal aged freshman (or in GG's case younger). I'd feel better about Murray as a shooter if he shot the ball a little better than 33.5% from 3 and 72.9% at the line. I'd be pretty disappointed if we took him at 36, even knowing that his brother looks like his shooting will work in the NBA....though I am not on board with calling Keegan a potential all star.

Murray would be a really good gamble at 36. At this stage when talent is lower, his tools are starting to pop up.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

The thing is, you never know. Could be a banger, could be a bust, could be servicable. All are reasonable expectations if we are talking 2nd round.

At where we are drafting though, 6 you might still get a bust but people will understand "high risk high reward" vs 11th when we should be looking for a high floor lower upside.

Why should we draft high risk/high reward guy at 6? Sort of what Golden State got goaded into selecting Kuminga over Franz....or any other number of other examples. Bamba over just about everybody in that draft, though he did look like a great shot blocker.

We gotta pick who is going to be the best nba player at 6, specifically Orlando Magic player. It is as easy as that. That should go for pick 11 and 36 too.

Doesn't matter if a guy has all the potential in the world if he is never going to get there.

If we picked later in the second, I'd take a shot on Bates, as a G League draft and stash....Holy crap, his offense and defensive ratingss are bad.... He probably still would have gone top 10 in when teams were looking for iso scorers.

Bates and GG Jackson are terrific examples of bad basketball players with "big" upside (that in all likelihood never comes to fruition)....but even they have a place to be drafted...and it's probably a head of a mule like Murray...Edit....I forgot how bad Jackson and Bates have been in college.. Jackson does have about 4+ years on Murray, maybe there is a chance he figures something out.

I mean at 6 / 11 the odds of you nabbing what you are looking for in one of them is pretty good. Heck when we grabbed Suggs & Franz we basically got 2 NBA players who will likely have 10 year careers injury aside.

I don't think that is that common though.
