The Nuggets and the Heat are both likable teams that are fun to watch and cheer for. Still rooting for Denver to go all the way and get their first title.
Denver really looks good right now. They have the best player in the league in Jokic, a rock-solid #2 option who can take over a game in Murray, and a bunch of defensive role players who may not be great offensive creators, but they know exactly how to play off of Jokic and Murray. All those guys (KCP, Brown, MPJ, Gordon) make great cuts, crash the class for opportunistic boards, and hit threes.
I think their only real weakness is MPJ at SF. He isn't good enough defensively and he costs too much. If instead they had a guy like Mikal Bridges, they'd be a perfect team.
MPJ is a good player. He’s been a game changer in the playoffs with his shooting/rebounding/defense.
Every bit as good as that other “superstar” in Boston.
I enjoy watching the PF position for Denver. Gordon and Green have struggled at times, but still make a ton of little plays and play with no ego. Neither of them try to do too much ever. Green just spaces the floor and makes big 3s, keeps the ball moving, Gordon hustles and gets offensive rebounds and plays great defense.
Flip side, you have Rui pulling down 4-6 rebounds while playing 34 minutes, bringing zero paint defense or rim protection. Only thing he brings is scoring, but he’s a total ball stopper. Kuzma would throw off the entire team dynamic if he was in Denver.
Between Markieff Morris/Kuzma/Rui, the wizards consistently get the PF position wrong.
