Maybe Deuce Tatum's son will be better than his grandpa Jayson.

I think Tatum will win a title win/for the Cs. Just getting impatient here.

Last year was close. Had Dubs on the ropes, up 4 with 5 mins to go after Smart’s 3. Win and we lead 3-1. Then they went on a 17-3 run lol. Rest is depressing history.

In light of Lakers being down 0-3 and Cs being on the eve of game 3…

Miami are concentrating on defending the 3pt with 4-1 zone. Can’t keep jacking up 3s, take what they give us. We need to score in the midrange. No more Al who can’t shoot or box out. Play more Rob for offensive rebounds and lob threat. More D. White instead of Brogs. We need guys who can draw Bam away from Rob and by hitting the midrange consistently. Also Give the ball to the Js AROUND THE KEY, load the weak side and get out of the way. That’s how Jimmy got his. Don’t let Bam go to his right with the dribble. If Jayden doesn’t play well, pull him. We have had success with him when he was injured.
If Mazulla brings the same **** next game, he doesn’t deserve the job next year.

I know NBA players are supposed to be confident, but you can't keep losing home games and expect to win on the road. The problem is the Cs tend to win a lot of playoff series despite blowing leads and losing at home. So in addition to the entitlement, they are also enabling the behavior with their success at recovering from their lapses. Even if they lose, there's generally another game where they can recover. I saw that Jaylen is 5-1 in Game 7s and Tatum is 4-1. They haven't been punished as much as they could by their lackadaisical play. It will come back to haunt them.

If we actually make the 3s and play on defense we can win games. Dunno in what state of mind our guys are in right now.
Play Bobby more, if Horfie's 3 isn't going in. Give more than 2 minutes to Hauser. If Horfie is off, try Muscala in like 15-18 min. You got nothing to lose. We need to make 3s.
Good assessment:

We need an inside presence to open the 3s
MIA was clogging the paint when JT penetrated after the high P&R with Rob which led to some open 3s or dunks/layups of Rob and others
No more Al jacking 3s, or Muscala - the 5 guys standing on the 3 line without movement against the zone
I prefer we play Kornet a little

Maybe, but I feel as if Hauser would hold his own for sure and could give us a good burst off the bench

Even if you win the series. You're about to run into a well rested Denver team.

This team did not learn it's lessons from last year.

Joe little **** us and Stevens **** Joe little.

If Brad had this current roster during his reign, we might've won a title already. We never had good bench talent when Brad was a coach.

I’ve settled down and realized we really are winning in 7. Wow.

It could happen, but I think I'm more realistic than pessimistic when I say it's highly unlikely. We know Cs are more talented, but coach and team are not bringing all the rest that is needed to win in the 3rd round of the play-offs (strategy, cohesion, focus, etc.), so what would be the reason for optimism?

You're still in that denial phase huh.

Don't throw your credibility in the trash for this ass water team.

You care about it way more than they do.

The series is already over. But, at least go out with a win tonight so no one has to watch a sweep.

Brad never had White and Brogdog. Danny was only interested in trades where he could annihilate the other GM. Slight wins aren't Danny Ainges thing. That probably cost them.

That was my biggest gripe with Danny... he quickly became known as someone who was not worth working with.. that really shot us in the foot.

I still believe… kinda. Enough that if they pull it off I’ll be like “hell yeah knew we were gonna do this” even if that’s mostly crap, but also not enough to be any more upset than I already am at how this has went. Basically I’m feeling like it’s already over at 0-2 but still realize it’s not officially over. Any amount of believe I have hasn’t come from the on the court product from players and especially not from Joe either. It comes from decades of wanting them to win and realizing how much further ‘08 gets in the rearview mirror every season. I’ll cheer for them but will try to curb my enthusiasm as you can’t celebrate too much down 0-2 no matter how tonight goes. I probably also won’t wear Celtics gear in public today as I no longer have the energy for a stranger making a comment about it.

Pull a W out tonight and you’ve got the start of something. Honestly winning a close one is probably better for us. A blowout would give us too much confidence and focus Miami even more (like they need it). Our playoff shirts are becoming ironically bad because except for the 18 hidden in the words our preparation has shown we failed to realized the Heat have a strong case for unfinished business too. They were a Jimmy 3 from a shot at a title last season and that probably ate at them as much or more than our missed opportunity in the Finals.

Return to Boston Celtics
