Yeah, that's not true. Fans only have to cheer for the team or not cheer for them, the rest of the bs we all partake in is extracurricular. I choose to to cheer for them and be optimistic, it doesn't make me any more or less right about what will happen than all our pessimists, none of what we say means f*ck all. It just makes me feel like less whiny, and it costs me nothing.

Down 0-2? Sometimes things just got to go hard.

Believing that they will win the series is just setting yourself up for major disappointment. I don’t like disappointment, so I’ll cheer them on, I’ll have my Celtics jersey on hoping for a miracle but I’ll know in my heart it’s very unlikely that they win it. I just want to make them sweat a little.

Betting money on them to win the series and then having them lose would be a major disappointment. Rooting for them costs me nothing, and if they don't win I'll get over it because sports are just entertainment. I care if they win, don't get me wrong, the playoffs I am tense as hell the whole game. I yell in a room by myself multiple times in a game. When the games over though, it's over. There's so much more in life to carry with you than whether one group of millionaires beats another in an athletic contest, there is zero reason to carry angst over a loss. I think it's why I don't argue on the board too much anymore, I just don't understand the amount of vitriol people carry with them.

So you don’t get disappointed when they lose? Come on now.

I’ll be cheering, I’ll be hoping but that doesn’t mean I have to believe they can turn this around. At least not until they show me something to change my mind.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

Grant should’ve just kissed Butler. He’s so close. Might’ve thrown Jimmy off. Dunno if that’s a flagrant 1 or 2 though.

Play more Rob for offensive rebounds and lob threat. More D. White instead of Brogs. We need guys who can draw Bam away from Rob and by hitting the midrange consistently. Also Give the ball to the Js AROUND THE KEY, load the weak side and get out of the way. That’s how Jimmy got his. Don’t let Bam go to his right with the dribble. If Jayden doesn’t play well, pull him. We have had success with him when he was injured.
If Mazulla brings the same **** next game, he doesn’t deserve the job next year.

Sometimes I think you guys look at the boxscore and just kind of reconstruct the game in your head. No, Miami didn't defend the 3pt. No, they didn't run our guys off the line. They left our guys open all night. They were defending against penetration. There were a few contested threes but 90% of them came with time running out or clock management or Jaylen Brown heatcheck.

Also a lot of our 3PA came in transition or semi-transition, or after a penetration broke down the defense. We weren't just passing the ball around then jacking up a contested three.

I stuck my neck out last series, I'll go again. We will win the next 2 and tie this up. This team is weirdly resilient when their backs are against the wall.

Win here and suddenly there’s a lot of pressure on Miami again. I haven’t seen enough the last two games to be confident, but let’s see.

Well Game 3, time for this team to come out and take its medicine.

Hopefully it leads to dramatic roster changes in the off season to give proper support to Tatum.

Be that with or without Brown. But Tatum clearly needs someone who can handle the ball in the clutch for him to be supported properly.

No team has ever come back from being down 0-2 in the conference finals so my two cents is their backs were already up against the wall game 2.

Same, felt they always had a solid shot even down 3-2 last series. This team has played well against good teams which Miami apparently is.

Still think they take at least a couple in this series. And wtf have to give it your all anyways in case butler sprains a knee or something.

I get disappointed when they lose, sure. I just get over it within a few minutes. We all root our own way and that's fine, I'm not trying to tell you how to do it. I'm just saying I don't understand the vitriolic responses people have, particularly coming in to the board after to call the team pathetic or insult the players or coach. It seems childish to me. Criticism is one thing, there's plenty of that to go around and debating it and how to improve the team can be fun. Debating hyperbolic overreaction is just pissing into the wind though, at best it's funny for someone else watching.

Can any historian tell me if there has ever been a team that lost their 1st 2 home games and still came back to win the series??

I know teams have lost their 1st 2 and came back while on the road.. Can't think of any the other way around.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Never in a conference finals.

Rockets did it in semis in 1994.
