There are not many PG on this draft, but maybe there is another Tyreese Maxey in late first round?

He's -41 through the first 2 games.
It's taken Ham a while to figure it out, but the Lakers are better when they don't play the ex-Wolves.
And as much as i still love Vandy, he's been nearly unplayable in the postseason again this year.

This draft is just not that good IMO.

One thing I find encouraging from the playoffs is that the Wolves played the Nuggets as well as anybody. I think if the Wolves have a decent offseason, they should have a real chance at a top 4 seed next season.

Yea I mean its easy to play this game but still.
KAT was crappy for most of the series
No Naz
No Jaden
Rudy's back was messed up
No backup PG worth a damn
We still had some competitive games and almost pushed 6 games if a couple of plays had gone our way. I also think out of any player this playoffs, Anthony Edwards put more fear into Denver than anyone else.
If we were healthy we could have had 6 games. If Towns played like he has against Jokic his whole career, we might have a chance to push 7. Denver is really damn good. I think they are far better than that Grizzlies team we played last post-season. Wolves were a mess but there is enough there to do some kind of damage if they can figure things out and be healthy.
We were also killing the Lakers without Gobert, Naz, and Jaden until that horrid 4th quarter.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I don't think there's anything to read with the wolves as a whole. Denver controlled pretty much the whole series and were an ot away from sweeping. The one thing you can take from it though, is that ant has been the best player the nuggets have faced this postseason (although hi could argue for booker)

Booker choked in his last home game against Denver, that alone puts him behind Ant.

Has anyone look at how well Davis is playing? I get everyone loves Ant.

Celtics in total panic mode. Maybe it's good to finally see a 8th seed (weren't they 10th?) make it to the finals. It gives everyone hope but also, derail any chance of Heat fire sale.

Boston’s guards look SOOO trash, can’t believe how badly they are getting outplayed by Miami’s g league hauls strus, robinson, martin, vincent.

I was thinking Brown and Smart was going to dominate the series. Not so smart on my part.

Boston has taken the crown from us as the most embarrassing playoff showing this season.

Beasley has been DNP, both DLo and Vando have been unplayable this series. We overpaid like crazy in the Gobert trade but most of the overpayment was in terms of draft picks, not the players involved in trade. Kessler ended being a stud but was bit of an unknown at the time of the trade. Where we **** up was giving away those 2027, 2029 picks. That was just nonsense

Re: 2023 Around The League NBA Playoffs Thread
I wanted to bring this over here, because I think there are a ton of correlations to the Timberwolves beyond just Austin Rivers being on the roster.
1. His best skill is his aggressiveness = This embodies former Wolves Pat Beverley and Jarred Vanderbilt. It's not an ability thing we're lacking this year, it's that aggressiveness that we lacked. Throw Jimmy Butler into this discussion too.
2. The erraticness and inconsistency of Jordan Poole's higher skill level is the same type of thing we dealt with during Andrew Wiggins' and D'Angelo Russell's tenures.

Please tell me the Raptors aren't really considering going from Nurse to Nash?

Well, If you are going to tank and rebuild, you need to hire a coach that is at least good at tanking.

Re: 2023 Around The League NBA Playoffs Thread
Who did we trade to Lakers to get Conley, NAW, and two 2nd round picks? It's funny how DLo could shoot against Curry but totally ineffective vs Murray and KCP.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
