This draft is stacked. Lots of good players in the lottery that would be top 5 picks in previous years. I think this is the year we should try to get a second frp on top of our 13th pick.

I have no problem with his shooting, he needs to work on fine tuning his game, defensive awareness and adding mass to his frame. There's no rush with him. Leave him overseas another year, give him a year in the g-league, let him add 15-20 pounds, let him work on his free throw shooting, on-ball gameplay including his playmaking (he plays it very safe with the ball in his hands and rarely tries to make plays for others) and defensive awareness.
It's hard to find official measurements, but he's listed at 6"6 230lbs on most draft sites. Measurements coming from Europe are typically accurate. I wouldn't be surprised if he's close to that. He's not a toothpick out there.

I agree. The easiest way to do that is to agree to trade OG, Flynn and the 13th pick on draft night for the 7th pick, Benedict Malthurin, TJ McConnell, the 26th pick and two seconds. Pritchard might hard no that but...
The Nets.
Nets send Spencer Dinwiddie, Cam Thomas, the 21st, 22nd, future first and two seconds for OG Anunoby and Malachi Flynn.
Raps take Wallace or George or Bufkin at 13. 21and 22 is where Coulibaly, Jett Howard, Bryce Sensibaugh or even James Nnaji could all go. This is the reset that says good bye to Fred and OG era. It means two players headed for big money go elsewhere.
Pacers deal.
Paskal/Poetl/Gradey Dick
Scottie/Malthurin
Nets deal
Paskal/Poetl/Scottie
Spencer Dinwiddie/Keyonte George
Or
Paskal/Poetl/Scottie
Spencer Dinwiddie/Cason Wallace
Either of these refits I like Scariolo coaching.

Why on earth would Indy trade Ben Mac & 7 for, they wouldn't.

Despite being "raw", Bilal is SO MUCH further ahead as a ballhandler vs OG who was and arguably still is a horrible ballhandler. He isn't anywhere near as clumsy and uncoordinated as OG, Bilal glides with the ball in his hand. I'm not joking when I say rookie OG (who was older) almost had problems keeping control of the ball with a clear fast break lol and even now OG can't drive to the basket (he backs down his man) or run from end to end with the ball in his hands as Bilal ALREADY does which is why his potential is so exciting to me and why he's the top of my board but ESPECIALLY if Pascal is in fact traded for Simons & 3rd pick.
That would allow him to develop behind OG to eventually replace him and then OG would remain one of the best trade chips in the league to be used on a position of greater need or heck maybe even another lottery pick with higher potential etc in the near future.
I pray we make that POR trade & draft Bilal...I'd go from not wanting to watch a single game to pretty much locked to my TV to watch those guys develop together lol

Bilal looks closer to 210 than 230.

Unless he has some dense bones he isn’t 230. But he can probably get there over time.

No argument there, Bilal is a really good ballhandler for a guy his size. Without that handle I'm not sure I would have him as a candidate at #13 as that would further limit his ability to show anything other than pure 3+D stuff.

If Bilal is gonna want to body up defensively and finish hard through contact going to the rim which is clearly a part of his game when he gets run off the 3 point line, he will need to fill out that frame some more which is why he would be best served IMO staying out of the NBA another year or two and becoming acclimated to his frame once it fills out because it will allow him to do more on the court.
He has already worked on adding muscle mass you can see it which is why he is no longer like 190 lbs but probably closer to like 205. His frame can absolutely hold like 220-230 lbs.

Re: 2023 Draft Discussion Part 5
I haven't seen Coulibaly play a game but from what I've seen of the highlights he is super fluid and athletic, he kind of reminds me of Sonny Weems in that respect (I'm sure or at least expect him to be much better than Sonny lol). But there's so much more to becoming a good NBA player than just fluidity and athleticism, plenty of guys look great in highlight reels but don't have the intelligence/processing speed required to play at the NBA level.

Re: 2023 Draft Discussion Part 5
Anyone know how much Mikal Bridges weighs?
209lb
Bilal is going to naturally fill out but he’s ready to play defense from day 1. The only thing that will possibly hold him back is lack of experience at the NBA level. But given his athleticism and his shown ability to quickly adapt to higher competition, the last thing I’m worried about with Bilal is putting on another 20lbs.

Go to 0:34 of that video. OG STILL dribbles the ball in transition in the exact same way as he did when he was in High School.

What is your point? We are discussing how quickly Bilal's body will be ready for the NBA. Bilal is 19 in 2 months but of course round it down when he's 5/6ths of the way to 19 years old. He will not possess the mass that OG did at 20.
OG officially weighed in at 232.5 lbs at the combine and 243 lbs during the summer of 2016. Bilal isn't getting 20 mins a game in the NBA this coming season.

Why are you so needlessly passive aggressive all the time? You don't need to be a cryptologist to see what I'm trying to say.
The body of a young person from 18-22 can experience major transformations in a hurry. OG went from that scrawny kid in his Senior year of high school, to being 215lbs and looking like he was carved out of stone the end of his Freshman year. Bilal could easily be as thick as a Freshman OG was by the end of his first year, when he already had an NBA body.
I also don't know where you're getting these supposed year-to-year anthropometric stats from when even the NBA website has OG at 232 right now.
