Your club has experience, shooting, role definition and defenders. His offensive system isn't the greatest and allows for a lot of freedom but it works with a Veteran club with talent. He also doesn't have to develop players. Having a superstar in Giannis and more importantly knowing his weaknesses will help him counter those against the top teams who try to exploit them. Great fit overall and I'd be shocked if he wasn't chosen.
See, this is where i think we have problems that Nurse cannot solve. For one, while we do have offensive talent, its not as robust as most of the other contenders. Low iq, cant create, and the 3 pointers dont seem to fall in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, we are also kind of a mirage on defense outside of Jrue and Giannis. Too many old players, not enough athleticism, cant stay in front of elite fast players, Brook is solid but overrated on D.
Perhaps Bud should get more credit for consistently making these guys look way better than they are in the regular season. I dont know if Nurse can fix what seem to be deeply entrenched roster flaws.
I bet he can turn Marjon into a good defender though, so that's something.
