Watching this desperate Lakers performance should be a reminder to our guys that we want to end this tomorrow at home. Do not give them hope. Do not let them get a win in our building and build momentum heading back to Boston.

Snuff them out and send them packing.

Nothing delusional about the truth, say what you will but ALL my takes about Bam have come true whether some of you still want to be blind to it or not.

As for the Nuggets, we’re the FAR deeper team based on what we’ve seen these playoffs. They practically only go 7 deep and 1 of those 2 bench guys has been struggling in these playoffs. We have to wear them down with our physicality and we need the bench locked in. Have to make shots. Winner of this series takes title of best in the world between Jimmy and Jokic.

As for Bam vs Jokic, Bam just has to slow him down however he can and he needs to put pressure on Jokic defensively if Jokic guards him (I’m thinking Gordon will). Bam will have his hands completely full, his toughest challenge of his career by far. Jokic is a far more complete and better player than Embiid who Bam routinely locks up. Chances are Bam is not going to win the matchup with the should be 3 peat MVP but he needs to hold his own.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if the offense was Jimmy and the shooters with Bam at like 10 shots a game or less just taking the open opportunities he gets while Spo has him using all his energy on the defensive end. I’ve seen Bam look completely gassed this season twice, it was both games against Jokic. Did a great job on him @ Denver when he shot 40% and had like 3 turnovers being defended by Bam, in Miami Jokic was cooking him

Would definitely expect Gordon to take Bam, Jokic to defend Love initially. Need Kevin to keep him honest as it should open up paint attacks.

Gonna be a difficult matchup for us though. Just gotta believe in our guys and hope Jimmy can carry us.

Must admit Bam has impressed me during this playoffs, loved his agressiveness last game. Watching the Lakers game right at this moment and i am not impressed by Denver's defense, we should be able to score on them, their offense is another story. Enjoyed your read.

Jokics the best player in the game, he will try to control the game and Murray is also lethal.

West coast bball has historically featured more offense and less toughness but thats a trope whether true or not.

Denver's handed our ass to us before but Miami can be tougher and have a true big game player in Butler.

We've got a shot. The shot has to go in.

I want to hear a Dan LeBatard Rant if we pull this off. What this team is doing merits one of those maniacal rants.

Though I picked Denver to win it all, Mia would pose a set of challenges defensively that they havent yet seen.

Get it dont tomorrow night, guys, and let's get this show on the road.

That's the key to the series. Can Bam defend Jokic one on one so we don't have to double all the time. If he defend in single coverage for 60 or 70 % of the possessions, I'd feel really good about the series. If not, then our rotations have to be on point. And even if they are, Jokic might still pick us apart if we send a double.
For this series, Bam gotta be in the game anytime Jokic is in. And I don't care if he averages 0 points, he's gotta put max effort on making as hard on Jokic as he can defensively. And also boxing out and preventing offensive boards
On offense, its gonna have to be Butler with one or two huge games and everyone else making threes.

He’s had a really good defensive game against Jokic this year and a bad one. Based on what we’ve seen these playoffs he should be able to hold his own there 60%-70% of the time line you said. Doubles will be needed at times though, Jokic is no joke. He’s probably the most skilled center ever.

I’m really hoping Spo is willing to expand Bams minutes in that series to as many as possible. 42 a night at minimum, it’s the finals, there’s nothing left. Do or die

This could be the series Bam really makes a name for himself and sets the stage for a media narrative of DPOY next year. If he can slow Jokic, we would win this series. He’s the fulcrum to everything they do offensively.

God I just want this one more win so we know for sure we’re going through.

I feel like our guys can get a handle on Murray pretty easily but maybe I’m wrong. I really like those matchups.

I know man, tired of thinking about these Celtics. Put them out of their misery tomorrow. I’m ready to lock in on these finals
