Replace 16 and 18 Derozan with 22 and 23 Jimmy

What happens if 16 Raps have 22 Jimmy instead of Demar and 18 Raps have 23 Jimmy instead of Demar?

Doesn’t make nearly the difference in 16. Much as it would help to have Butler in place of DD, the Cavs were significantly better. They had 4 massive blowouts in that series (totaling over 100 points).

2018 was a momentum series. I think this Butler in place of DD that year makes a significant difference. Derozan was abhorrent that year — 16PPG on 47%TS in the semis, and was benched at times. 2 out of 4 of those games were decided by 2 points or less. Probably goes 6 or 7. Not sure who I favor.

For all the credit that we give Butler for this run, we also have to credit Erik Spoelstra, and the role players (Gabe Vincent, Straus, Duncan, Martin) who are playing at a higher level than any of the role players on Toronto in 2016.

I think the 2016 Raptors hit their ceiling with the Eastern Conference Finals. The top teams in '16 (Warrriors, Spurs, Thunder, and Cavaliers) were great teams. The Raptors weren't beating any of these teams.

The 2018 Raptors one is very interesting. I felt like the team underachieved in the playoffs. Dwane Casey was outcoached, especially in the Cavaliers series. I don't know if Butler overcomes the poor coaching, but just imagine the 18 Raptors with Spolestra or Lue as coach.

oddly enough the raptors probably have better chance in 18 than 16 despite the 2-win difference

2016 just no, also 2017 even moreso no

2018 I think they could’ve won the ECSF vs Cavs. Oladipo and Baby Tatum took those Cavs to 7

But no chance in the Finals any year even if they did fluke one win

No changes in 2016. Series wasn't close.

2018, I feel the Raptors were mentally broken after game 1, so maybe with Butler they win that game.

Hard to say. Even if they win in 2018, they are getting rolled in the finals.

Cp3 and Harden went up 3-2 on 18 Warriors

Bron almost won 2 games w/ a mid cast wouldve won 1 if George Hill hit a free throw

Ad and Jrue won a game almost 2 from Warriors

Jimmy and Lowry w/ rest of that strong squad can def bring a fight to Warriors. They had best bench depth that season Iirc. Lowry was surprisingly great that playoff run in 18 too and we know from 19 that he can have a strong series Vs Warriors

18 and 19 Warriors arent the 17 team feels like ppl conflate the 3 seasons into 1 but 17 Warriors were something different............

I mean rolled doesn't necessarily mean they get swept. They'd probably lose in 5.

That Rockets team was one of the best ever to not win a ring and they got outscored by almost 10 points per game. 5 points in the games CP3 played.

Cavs should win East in 2016, if they were good enough to beat the Warriors. Raptors should win in 2018, Cavs had some trouble with teams like Pacers and Celtics that were definitely not as good as the Raptors with Jimmy instead of Derozan, and the depth they had by then. 2017 could go either way for Lebron vs Raptors. In terms of the finals I think Warriors still win in 2018.
