I don’t think Bam will ever win DPOY, it’s all media driven BS at this point and they just pull someone new out of their ass every season. Bam has been the best defender in the world for 4 years now but whatever, just keep proving it in the playoffs on our way to a championship and nothing else matters.

He’s had a really good defensive game against Jokic this year and a bad one. Based on what we’ve seen these playoffs he should be able to hold his own there 60%-70% of the time line you said. Doubles will be needed at times though, Jokic is no joke. He’s probably the most skilled center ever.

I’m really hoping Spo is willing to expand Bams minutes in that series to as many as possible. 42 a night at minimum, it’s the finals, there’s nothing left. Do or die

This could be the series Bam really makes a name for himself and sets the stage for a media narrative of DPOY next year. If he can slow Jokic, we would win this series. He’s the fulcrum to everything they do offensively.

God I just want this one more win so we know for sure we’re going through.

I feel like our guys can get a handle on Murray pretty easily but maybe I’m wrong. I really like those matchups.

I know man, tired of thinking about these Celtics. Put them out of their misery tomorrow. I’m ready to lock in on these finals

We couldn't handle Brunson or Trae. He's gonna be a handful as well. I don't think Struss and Vincent can guard him at all. I think Gabe will start on him and they may try Struss, but we may need Butler to take that assignment or start Caleb and have him guard him. Caleb may need to start anyways so that we can match the length Denver has with Gordon, Porter and KCP.

It will more than likely need to be Martin and Jimmy, we’ll see if Gabe is up for it

Can't take this award seriously when Tim Duncan never won one and Gobert got 3

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

The award is a joke it favors high steals/blocks guys or like you said media driven narrative, Bam is by a wide margin the best overall defender in the NBA on defense he's got the highest motor and the best blend of being able to guard 1-5. Bam is legit 1-2 tiers above JJJ in defense, Jackson is not stopping any decent player one on one and he contests everything leading to easy putbacks./idiotic fouls.

Bam/Butler/Draymond/Leonard are what defense is about not Gobert/JJJ/Claxton,

Snuff them out and send them packing.

This.

I am concerned the Celtics are suddenly going to rediscover their shot. It would be great for Miami to end this without any injuries and have 8 days to rest and prepare for the Nuggets.

JJJ was getting absolutely COOKED in the playoffs lol “but what about his BPG?!?!”

People will never learn. Smart wins it last year “1 guard since Payton” narrative and now doesn’t even get a single vote this year or make an all defense team. Awards a joke.

Just end it tonight, let the Boston Celtics fans mourn accordingly and not be left with any hope only to be taken away at a later day. Also want Spo to focus on his master plan on the Nuggets with as much time as possible. More time spent on this Celtics team, is less time spent on the big fish waiting already in the finals.

Seeing the lakers ousted in 4-0 straight last night I figured as much, the league couldn't let us just breeze through this as well. Some sort of life must be injected into the Celtics and keep the dream alive.

Scott Foster is a guaranteed L. It’s not in our control tonight. Most crooked ref in the game

They deployed the extender a game later than I thought, but it matters not. As long as we play our game and force them off the 3pt line, Scott Foster shouldn't matter in the end but don't expect many calls tonight lol. Gonna be 5 vs. 8 battle for us.

I can't believe that the game thread for the HEAT to beat the vile boston celtics and end their season is dominated by posters talking about fat jokic and looking ahead at the nuggets. JOBS NOT DONE.

This is the opportunity for MIAMI to sweep the celtics and send them home doubting their entire existence. You don't give them hope. You squash their will and make certain that they don't have an ounce remaining. F**K scott foster. END THIS TONIGHT

Return to Miami Heat
