I love baking bread but I always end up with too damn much. These little focaccia look perfect. Immediately went out and picked up two 8.5 inch by 4.5 inch loaf pans, and a 9x5 pan. Also ordered a baguette pan and couche baking linen after seeing his baguette video. His bagel video looks awesome too.

First up though is an Italian style sandwich with that confit garlic and lemon zest focaccia.

Took about five hours. Made a cheesy version with rosemary and ate it with a tomato and roasted garlic sauce. Kids, it was worth it.

That looks amazing.

Hard fight to score, thought Loma dictated action, cards shenanigans is cards shenanigans, the band played Waltzing Matilda.

Periodic reminder to those of who don't follow boxeo that one of the frequent judges - and yes, he worked tonight - has the last name Cheatham. That'd be like if Tim Duncan's last name was 15 Footer off the Glass.

If you'd asked me two weeks ago how well I'd slept generally, I'd have told you pretty good.

Since I started wearing my watch to bed - which I decided to try on a whim after never using the features before - I now wonder if I'm about to die.

Anyone else with this experience? One of the apps I downloaded to try, Sleep++, gives you a "readiness" score each day. I woke up feeling pretty good today - 7 hours of sleep, didn't wake during the night or toss and turn. My readiness score is 4...out of 100.

Love this guy (Michael Block). Hoping he crushes it today.

Hit the Trifecta in the Preakness yesterday. Unfortunately, with the small field it only paid off roughly 24-1.

Didn't have the stones to do a Superfecta box, but would've won that too. I only did a straight bet for that and had 2nd and 3rd flip-flopped. :banghead:

If Scheffler could putt he would've won easily.

Read on Twitter

From game 7 of the 2nd round in 2011 to the 3rd game of the 2019 1st round they had lost 18 of 19 playoff games. Needless to say, this feels nice.

This is such a good story. Waiting for the revelation that he's a nutcase or something, but I don't think it's coming.

Rich white CEOs are so annoying. Ours pulled all directors/managers in this last week and said all WFH at our company is done. There is no hybrid, and he knows some might not agree but he doesn't care. He wants an in person culture. Aka we paid millions for this building and I don't want it to go to waste.

Needless to say, the resume has been fired up.

It's been a game of chicken. Most companies want employees back in the office but don't want them poached if they return to that policy. So they wait for other companies to go first. Others don't give a **** and do it anyway. We are still a hybrid but it's really up to each manager. And mine is cool so I WFH most of the time. I don't mind going in sometimes. Short drive, nice office.

Bingo.

Really thankful my new gig fully embraces a remote workforce. We are all over the place, including FTEs in other countries.

Many companies hired remote workers during Covid and now they want local workers to return to the office while retaining the remote people. That doesn't fly in my book.

I work in a small office (less than 10 employees) and we are snagging a couple good people because they prefer WFH. You definitely need the right people for it. I know they would not be working with us if we were in the office.
