This game has absolutely nothing to do with Scott Foster. In fact, he's given the Heat some nice calls. This one is all on the players playing like chit.

Yeah, to a certain extent...but one team has been allowed to play a lot more physical brand of basketball than the other.

This. Saw a grip of no-calls on the Heat's end when there was definite contact.

Yup saw the same thing. Broke our will this game in quiet fashion. Allowed Boston to just do whatever they wanted. Still remember Tatum clearly driving an elbow in Martin’s chest and no call.

Probably for the best, this team can’t even get 5 in a row. Best for them to restart the streak with a win in game 6 and let it carry over to Denver

Neither the Refs, League, or Vegas had anything to do with this loss..... It was all there for the Heat to put this game away in the 3rd.

16-0.....SIXTEEN to ZERO allowed Boston to get in rhythm and thats why you never play with your food.

Yeah, Foster has no effect...yet the Celtics never lose with him. Keep telling yourself that.

Some fans just won't believe that the league "influences" outcomes of games to fatten their bottom line. No mystery that the night after the other series ends, they send in "the extender" to make sure the league isn't going 9 days with no revenue.

If true, then it would have been more lucrative to extend the LAL/Den series than this one...

Nah, there was a lot of stupid plays that weren't being done before and Butler doesn't look anything like he did before he hurt his ankle in the New York series. You saw Butler missing bunnies at the rim right? That's what he was doing in the 2021 playoffs where they got swept.

Bad shooting, bad turnovers, and some just poor play. Combine that with one team being allowed to be a more physical and this happens. The Heat won game 2 in Boston with the same type of officiating, but they played SOOOO much better. You cant take your foot off the gas when Foster is in the house. They don't call him The Extender for nothing.

That's not a good post Sammy. It's not that deep for anyone on this forum. We want and expect Bam to do better especially at this stage and he has. He's just had a bad night. It's not ALL on him either. I was just shocked at the 10/4 stat line. Don't take it personally.

When our role players aren't hitting 3s our offense goes back to ****. Been this way since the regular season. Even in games where they're hitting it goes to **** during those mini slumps during the game when they're missing. This means we have to rely heavy on Jimmy ball to bail us out which leads to him getting tired out. Also means we need Bam to be more aggressive which seems to take away from his defensive aggression at times. Oh well. When Herro is ready to play let's bench a proven scorer to rely on hope for blistering hot 3pt shooting to continue all the way through.

KingDavid wrote:Oh well. Still proud of this group in spite of this game. I voted for us to win in 6. Sticking with it. Bam & Jimmy can't start over relying on our role players. They're just the cherry on top. It starts and stops with our stars. Boy do I miss Herro.

Tatum got going and the rest of his squad followed.

This. I think Jimmy sometimes tends to relax and let our bench guys play their game a little bit too much, its all good in the flow of the offense, but he needs to be clear he is the main offensive weapon and the offense needs to start with him. Whatever we get from our role players is gravy. Another thing you can not let Tatum get comfy hitting open shots, he gets in a rythm and hit every garbage he puts up. Ic things do not go their way he usually folds and plays worse.

Yea. No way should Strus and Lowry be out-rebounding our front court

The chicken wing fend-off is Tatum's patented move. Somehow the refs never see it tho. smh

Nah. We got a chance at a historic championship run. I can guarantee no one wants to see Bam have a bad game. Beating the 1st, 2nd and 4th seed as an 8th seed would be a feat that wouldn't be replicated. It'd go in the same level as Cavs 3-1 comeback. I can't see any Heat wanting to risk that to prove a point on Bam

Nah, blaming a ref when you get blown out is a loser mentality. Players don't get any kind of pass for this. Refs didn't make them miss free throws, miss bunnies, miss 3s, commit stupid turnovers, leave guys wide open for 3.

Well, our team is still playing.

We've been over this. I'm from SFL and a Heat fan first. I made this account a couple years ago to comment on a Warriors thread when I was living in SF, but don't think I ever even used it once it was approved. I'm a UF alum like you, but I've been a Canes fan my whole life, mostly bc I can't stand pansy ass Gator fans.

1st, no one gives a ****. 2nd, then ditch the logo. And 3rd, Canes don't know **** about sports...so your opinions follow.

What cost us this game 1.Lack of urgency 2. Turnovers 3. Shooting 4. Close out defense. Disinterested Jimmy who woke up too late, clumsy Bam did not lead by example. Now what happens with all of these factors: 1: fatigue from extra games 2. Injuries, tonight it was Lowry and Vincent who knows next game 3.Boston confidence rises with each minute they continue to survive 4. bad luck/breaks. Spo waited to long to get on their ash about how they were playing.
