Props to KCP for coming up big for Denver. He played well for us and seems like a good guy. He hit huge 3s late in game 2.

Looks like Gil has his own show now. I always thought he would be good on ESPN or TNT. Way better than someone like Perkins.

Gilbert always had a certain charisma that I thought could work in the media IF he got it under control and became a little less off the cuff. He's become a lot more media-trained in the last few years, and honestly even one day could see him on TNT.

You bet! Easily!

You know who I was sure would wind up a media savant? Martell Webster. Guy was extremely good off the cuff, coherent & articulate, obviously smart.

Instead, he's into cars:

Arenas will surely be inviting Dimwitty’s annoying, provocative @$$ to his show a lot. Drama gets clicks.

Not sure what Dinwiddie said that you're all complaining about.

Somebody asked him a question; he answered it.
As to what he said -- I don't see anything to disagree with:

Kuz had tried to win his dispute with Dinwiddie by saying, "I've got a bag coming." Spence questioned his priorities.

Seems reasonable enough.

Dinwiddie is the one who has brought it up in the first place and has generally taken a big l around the league for his comments. Even Gilbert Arenas almost laughed at him when Dinwiddie was giving his response.

The Wizards beat the Mavericks 127-126 in which Kuzma had 30 PTS, 5 REB, 2 AST. Spencer only had 22 PTS, 8 AST, 1 REB.

After the game he said:

Kuzma responded with:

Dinwiddie mentioned the Wizards in March:

Then Dinwiddie brought the whole thing back up again in April:

Kuz responded with:

[Spencer Dinwiddie] responds to Kyle Kuzma: “He resorted to some name-calling, “Dinshittie”, last time I [heard that I] was 10 years old… We don't get mad at Rick Fox for winning a championship with Kobe & Shaq. We can't act like Rick Fox led them to the championship"

Rick Fox then proceeded to call Dinwiddie out.

I still don't see what there is from Dinwiddie's side in this exchange that's worth getting exercised over.

He was correct in saying that "they" weren't playing for anything "real" -- i.e. to compete for a title. & he was also correct (about Kuz at least) that it was "a showcase." In fact, by imagining he could win the debate with "I'm going to get a bag," Kuz essentially demonstrated that Spence was correct.

Don't get me wrong -- it would have been better if Spence hadn't bothered with his opening remarks in the debate! But, he was just reacting to a loss, and the point of his sentence was about the Mavs -- i.e. it was self-critical. Read all of what he said; it concludes "...For a team that has real aspirations and has an MVP, went to the conference finals last year, we have to be better to a man."

That was the point of what he was saying.

He's right that Kuzma doesn't have his priorities in order? Not sure about that- moreso that Dinwiddie was on a better team (see Luka and Brunson) and once Brunson left the Mavericks didn't think Dinwiddie was all that important (although they were worse without him). Dinwiddie keeps talking about a team that he didn't mesh with. Yes, the Wizards had problems but Dinwiddie also was in his own head at the time, not shooting the ball and being too passive especially with Beal in the lineup.
