I’m doing Gary Harris and 6 to Toronto for OG Anunoby. If I can’t extend him because he wants more than he’s extendable for, handshake hush hush agreement for next year.
I’m taking Klintman at 11.
We sell 36 for cash considerations.
I’m then throwing a front-loaded 3-year $54 million deal at Vooch or Brook Lopez. Whomever of the two is most realistic.

Magic Depth Chart:
C: Wendell, Vooch/Brook, Moritz,
PF: Paolo, Klintman, Chuma
SF: Franz, Isaac, Bol
SG: Anunoby, Suggs, Houstan
PG: Fultz, Cole, MCW
Then your 3 two-way guys.

My alternative was:
Re-signing Moritz. Keeping MCW.
I’m trading Isaac, Suggs, Chuma, 11 and the 2025 Denver first for Simons.
I’m drafting Taylor Hendricks at 6.
I’m then throwing a front-loaded 3-year $54 million deal at Vooch or Brook Lopez. Whomever of the two is most realistic.
Starters we’re at: Wendell-Paolo-Franz-Simons-Fultz
Main rotation bench: Vooch or Lopez-Hendricks at PF- Houstan or Bol at SF - Gary at SG - and Cole.

It s funny , it s like you blended most of my proposals

My SG targets this summer are Vassell, OG , Mikal (too pricey), basically, young 2-way players.

If we can get any of them for the #6 only, I d jump on that

So let s go with your Deal, lets say Toronto does Harris+#6 for OG (and OG agreed to extend with us)

OG would start at SG but could spend some minutes at SF when Franz goes to the bench

I d be happy with a front-loaded 3-year $54 million deal at Vooch or Brook Lopez, a Big Vet is really needed

After trading 6, i would use 11 for a Huge Homerun, Go with the player who has the biggest ceiling, High risk, high reward

Maybe GG jackson but i m open to other players

Our team is so versatile
WCJ can spend some time at PF
OG and Franz can play SG/SF

Magic Depth Chart:
C: Wendell, Vooch/Brook, Moritz,
PF: Paolo, JI, WCJ, #11 Chuma
SF: Franz, OG, #11,Bol
SG: Anunoby, Suggs, Houstan
PG: Fultz, suggs, Cole, MCW
Suggs, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, Jett
Franz, TDS,

I like it a lot. But im.not sure og anunoby can play the 2 full time. I see more as a sf/pf. Now if we could play the 2 I would be all over something like this. With potentially drafting someone else at 11. But aside from that I like it.

Trade 6 & 11 plus 1 of our guards for a young stud with all star potential.

Sign a pass first PG in Free agency.

Grab a knowledgeable vet for the locker room.

That's all I need and all I want.

Weham might surprise us and manage to get Gary trent Jr on a friendly deal, I cant see many team offering him big money, so he might take a friendly deal for a starting SG spot

I wonder what Jared Vanderbilt is going to cost in FA. Less than full MLE I would think?

We need shooting, but someone with a high motor that’ll go and get rebounds would be next on my priority list for us.

Wowwwww, why r u trading that much for Simons, most blazers ' fans would do Simons for 11+ 24 M trade exception

However OG would cost more than 6+Harris

Agree with these valuations...and who is Klintman (at 11)?
He's a legend. You know him, he's Mr Klintman's boy.

Not a genuine suggestion (would take serious cojones and probably a deathwish), but an interesting thought experiment in terms of balancing the roster:

MINN OUT
Towns
Edwards

ORL OUT
Banchero
Harris
Fultz
#11

Draft Jarace Walker and Colby Jones (at 36?) for example

Orl
Anthony/Suggs
Edwards/Jones
Wagner/Edwards/Okeke
Carter Jr/Walker
Towns/Bitadze

Ignore the fact that nobody who wants to keep their job trades the ROY in year 2. Nor in Paolo's case probably should they. That's a given!

I would have the basic depth chart you propose as:

Carter/Vučević/M-Wagner
Banchero/Isaac/Jackson
F-Wagner/Bol/Okeke
Anunoby/Suggs/Houstan
Fultz/Anthony/Carter-Williams

That team, if healthy, could potentially win 50 games. Then in the playoff, maybe ....
I think it will suffer from the problems the Cavs had this playoff season. But there is a lot to like about your roster.

OG's a bruiser, can he play the 2? I question that concept. I like the player, just don't know if that's optimal.

Also, supposedly wasn't happy with his offensive role...will he be okay with taking a back seat to Paolo, Franz, and Simons :D ?

I doubt it. Trent is passing up an $18 million player option. He wants to start. He’s not starting on our team.

I like the player...I just expect buyer's remorse based on historical overpays of shooters. If Weltman gets him around 15m, he's a great pickup.

Some ideas I like

No. 6, Denver 2024, & Gary Harris for Devin Vassel

or

No. 6, No. 11, WCJ, & Gary Harris for Scoot and Anfernee Simons

This free agency class is a real stinker.

Nikola Vucevic, Jerami Grant, Caris LaVert, Harrison Barnes, Brook Lopez, Jakob Poeltl

GTJ and FVV need to opt out to make it interesting.

Poor money alocation on behalf of Weltman.
I've been beating this drum for 2 years, having money in back to back years ( 2022& 2023) where esencially nobody good is free agent is just wasteful, given that Magic could really leveradge fact others don't have money.

And every single great GM knows year to have money is 2024.

Just look at those names:
Deyonte Murray
Jaylen Brown
Joe Harris
DInwiddie
Lonzo Ball
Derozan
Klay Thompson
Kawhi
George
Lebron & Davis with player's option that they will 99% opt out
Desmond Bane ( probably wont' hit FA tho)
Jrue Holiday
Edwards & McDaniels ( restricted, again probably won't hit FA)
Pokuševski
Valeniunas
Sabonis
Tobias Harris
Siakam
OG
Jordan Clarkson
Olynyk
Avdija ( restricted)
Monte Morris

Ofc, that also means all of the big sharks will be in water. It's just matter of time until some Nets/Clippers buys off another contender from nothing. Hell, Knicks might actually become contender now

The "filler" here is Jonathan Isaac, and G-Harris can be added (Portland has a TPE to balance that). And that trade actually makes a lot of sense for both teams. It is a bold win-now move for Portland, if Isaac is actually healthy. For Orlando, it is a clear SG upgrade whilst also limiting the stress and strain of the Isaac's injury theatre.

Then: as Orlando already has its SG, draft Taylor Hendricks at #6 to replace Isaac. And resign M-Wagner.

Fultz/Anthony/some dude
Simons/Suggs/Houstan
F-Wagner/Bol/some dude
Banchero/Hendricks/Okeke
Carter/Bitadze/M-Wagner

I love that team. For this year and moving forward!
