From three we shot 41% and they shot 39%.
Rebounds 37-36 in our favor.
Assists 23-20 in our favor.

Game was dead even stats wise, except we forced 7 more turnovers and we had this in the 18pt range all game.

I don’t think people understand how much we have to poop ourselves in order to lose to this team.

We didn’t even play that well IMO. Great win.

We are past the point of complete embarrassment now. We were fighting for our pride I feel like in game 4, and game 5. Now, winning the series is no longer unrealistic.

It's not about winning the series. That was out the door after the first 3 games. It's about game 6. I don't care about winning the series. I care about winning game 6.

Pressure is now on Miami but game 6 will be extremely tough for the Celtics.

Draymond Green on his podcast has said the number 1 adjustment by far has zero to do with coaching strategies. It is just play harder and play with more force. The Celtics have done that the last 2 games and it has probably helped them win the turnover battle.

Jimmy Butler just said the same thing about "playing harder' is the adjustment Miami needs to make.

We’ve had like 5 bad weeks all season. I noted this down a while ago in the Season Thread. We were up and down but the high parts were sustained. It’s a lie to frame it as this when we’ve really been inconsistent esp on defense.

Going with White and Smart. Tatum, Horford and Brown all were amazing as well.

But I gotta give a special shout-out to Grant. I, along with others, were done with him, but his energy, shooting, and toughness have been massive in us turning the momentum this series. Super impressive to get cast off to the bench and still come out to play like that when needed. Mad props!

The longer this goes, the better for us. Heat have injuries. We can survive without Brogdon. Butler is mortal. But we can’t bail out the Heat defense with dumb lazy offense.

Its nice to get a couple of wins, but its hard to beat 75+ years of history (though I would love to see it). This is what annoys me every time about Miami. They go super saiyan, jimmy in particular, win multiple games playing at 120% and then burn out meaning they are a waste of space to truly compete. They get the most out of their roster's talent of any team in the league, but that doesnt mean they arent trash deep down.

Problem is, they went 120% on us, we played scared and put a 0-3 hole in our way. Digging out of that is a monumental task

Celtics are much better if the ball is in the hands of JT and he is facilitating the offense. Save for some passes that tried to be cute, JT controlled the game offensively and the team responded positively.

Also, props to the whole team for realizing defense is the catalyst to all this success. They matched the active hands of the Heat and even surpassed them tonight.

Exactly. He had been huge for us all season until this series after the injury. Hoping for a miracle he is healthy and ready to play and play well for game 6.
