I mean what do you expect him to say? Celtics need to take their best punch on saturday. Have to stay close.

Just need to take all their runs next game. Calls will favor them obviously. Its upon our players to remain focus and keep it close. Take care of the ball. No fancy passes, or dreams of highlight reel lobs lol. Make our free throws and no open 3pt shots. Gets those rebounds!

I'm proud....But now I went from accepting losing the series to being a complete mess if we lose.

Not time to talk about game 7's. One game at a time. Lets take care of game 6. A quarter at a time. Win the quarters and the game will come nicely.

Game 6 is gonna be so nerve wracking I want this so bad. Making history alone would forever be remembered. We have been done 3-2 before to the bucks and Sixers. We are back in this position again. Just needing one road game to send it back home for game 7. They have to play with the same intensity today out in Miami minus the dumb turnovers.

Tatum can't lose focus and allow the refs to slap him with an early technical foul like what happened in Q1... If that happens again in Miami, you can bet that the zebras will look for the slightest pretense to sucker punch him with a 2nd T later in the game to get him tossed out.

And we freaking need to learn to stay on their shooters -- Vincent, Martin, Robinson, and now even this Highlander guy. Tighten up the PoA defense and let the roamer handle the help D on paint incursions/post-ups.

But Jimmy just guaranteed a Heat win in Game 6.

Looks like the series is over.

Wouldn't surprise me. Brad doesn't have anything more important to do than give Joe whatever help he needs.

Saw that earlier, why the heck wouldnt management help in any way they can

Jimmy's ego is what makes him great, but is there any chance that instead of inspiring the scrub squad it puts more pressure on them and they cave?

Did he actually say guaranteed win? I would hope they pass it on to our guys if he said that.

2nd time in 7 games that Smart saved our season. Went for their neck right from the jump.

Would have given White the other vote, but I only ever vote once. Hat tip to Tatum, and to a lesser extent Horford and Rob. Jaylen was a net positive for the first time this series. Not by a lot, but at least he showed up.

Going to need to eat bone marrow for Game 6.

Free your mind Fierce — none of the remaining games in this series have to be close. Celtics playing defense like there’s seven of them out there again for long stretches.

Aside from humming on offense, we'll also need that 7-man-level defense to overcome a Heat team backstopped on the floor by 3 extra teammates in stripes.

Brad knows that his own seat has also gotten a bit warmer after they went down 0-3...

And although he rightfully empowers Mazzulla to do the job without needing to micromanage, Brad knows full well that his protégé now desperately needs a lifeline to keep his head above what had spiralled down into an untenable situation a few games ago.

I know the players had somewhat tuned him out in his last season as HC, but on paper, CBS is still a match for Spo.

That whole players tuning Brad out pissed me off. They should be so lucky to have him as coach. Thankfully he's a great GM IMO.
If I had my way he'd be coach and GM.

You know it has to be brad stevens.. He's probably telling joe both their asses are on hot seats right now.

It's more than likely Brad. People forget that if Brad came back right now, he's probably a top 5 coach in the game. Hell, his first several seasons in the league, I believe he was the best coach in the NBA.
Anyways, fantastic win.... Why give me hope though.. This team is an emotional rollercoaster. I hope we don't come out flat in game 6. We could definitely win the series, as always I'm worried about the consistency of this group. Hope Brown has 40 next game.
Still expecting the game where the Heat shoot like .400 from the field. Their shooting numbers are still inase even in this loss... .500 from the field, ~.400 from 3.. That's still wild. I can't believe they haven't had a bad shooting game yet.
Good assessment:

Brad’s rotation vs Heat in ECF 2020: Jays in rookie contracts, Smart, Kemba with wrecked knee, Hobbled Hayward (for last two games?), Theis, Wanamaker, Ojeyele, Rookie Grant, Sophomore Rob, Kanter. Lol

He could’ve done better and is still outmatched by Spo but his players also weren’t ready. There’s just no excuse for our players and coach in this matchup.
