I'm done trading down after the Felton sean may fiasco when we could've had deron williams or chris paul. Keep the pick and just pick whomever is the best player available. That draft ruined me.

This is my #1 fail in Hornets draft history. We went for quantity over quality and hit that next tier, instead of CP3.

We are rarely at 2 and in a draft where it's Wemby...Scoot/Miller........Thompson Twins/Whitmore/others, I would prefer a shot at Scoot or Miller. We have enough supporting guys. Terry, Hayward, Thor, Martin, PJ, Richards, McGowens....we need a few more first/second option stars to surround LaMelo.

We also have four other picks this year to find another #4/#5 option.

I wish the nets would do a Mikal Bridges for the 2nd pick. They already laughed off the 3rd pick so it's only hopes and dreams. I think Brandon Millers ceiling is Mikal and thats one damn fine player.

There's no way we should be adding #27 to this deal. If anything Houston is also a future first short.

I think a three way can be worked where we get 3 and Eason, Houston gets 2 and takes on Nurkic, and Portland gets 4, 27 and Kai. All three teams get what they want. Portland frees 17M in cap space

I mean he averaged 26 5 and 5 (it's something like that haven't looked) with the nets the last 25 to 30 games of the season with the nets and he's an all nba defender.

If we could get even anything close to that out of him I trade the 2nd for him. The nets already declined the blazers pick for him. There is a reason why. He's a damn stud.

I was just going to say, number 2 pick should not be for sale unless we end up with the third pick. No offer we get will make sense unless it lands us 3.

It would not be a bad trade for either team. There’s both upside and risk in both. Nets want to blow it up and completely rebuild and we want to take the next step towards the playoffs. But Nets won’t do it anyway and I think being patient with a prospect at number two benefits us more long term.
