Houston has appeal for a deal.

Cap space to take back uneven salary giving Raptors some financial flexibility and lots of rookie contracts.

Eason, Sengun, Green are all players I’d take. Green and Scottie are also tight.

Plus picks…not their own though. Edit: their own this year, not moving forward.

If you want the raptors to "pick a direction" acquiring both the three and four is a very clear direction.

we have a chance to put some serious pieces around scottie that actually fit timeline/compatibility wise... lets no pay aging vets max contracts and put as ceiling on ourselves here. for the love of god.

Trade away all the talent for picks and let Scottie be "the man" during a 3 year bottom out rebuild aqquiring more draft talent and sticking it to the Spurs by keeping that first rounder and only having to give them two second round picks after being a bottom 4 team in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Place a call about moving up in the draft (with no actual intent to do so) -> wait for a player to become a star that would have been available had you actually moved up -> leak a report about how you nearly traded up to draft that player. Repeat.

Ya. I'd have to assume that if we were willing to trade a core player for the 4th pick it because we think Amen is a star in the making.
