You end up being the 1st team to ever choke a 3-0 lead everyone’s responsible.

He's definitely responsible for putting Strus in at that moment at the end of the game though.

Pat has gotten soft through the years. When we lost a 3-2 lead to Detroit in 2005 ECF his response was to pull off a 5 team, 13 player trade that was the largest quantitative trade in NBA HISTORY at that point. That trade got us the roleplayers needed to win our first championship in franchise history. His response to losing a game 7 in the ECF on our home floor last year was to do nothing. Now we sit on the precipice of blowing the first 3-0 lead in NBA history as a result. He bears responsiblity too not just Spo and our fake stars.

Jimmy had us 3 seconds from the NBA finals tonight after playing a terrible game. 3 seconds. Maybe he deserves a little more respect.

The worst choke job in the 75+ year history of the NBA deserves no respect whatsoever.

Miami played a great game. Bam and Butler shot 9-37. That's not even 25%.

This was the best game Miami could have played -- and Boston finally cooled down from 3 (7-35, 20%). Brown, Tatum, and Horford were 0-14 from 3. And Miami still lost. I expect Miami to get blown out in Game 7. That's not pessimism based on disappointment from tonight's loss; I just don't think Miami can repeat this performance and get a similarly poor performance by Boston.

This franchise just seems condemned to lose at the buzzer in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, Miami doesn't have anyone besides Butler that can have a monster game, and it looks like he is completely gassed.

When you need a Herro lol
In all seriousness I doubt he can help. But he's gotta suit up and be there an option off the bench. It's desperation mode so unless his finger is gonna fall off, he needs to give it a try.

This is such a stupid take that has been kind of said a few times in the last few days. If something is open for praise, then it also has to be open for criticism. Criticizing does not imply that one is not riding until the end. People are understandably upset and should be allowed to express it, the same way one would express joy if it were reversed.

This is the first time an 8th seed is even in this type of position in the first place-- folks get injured, players get tired and etc. It happens. Gotta appreaciate them folks for what they've done!

Appreciate what? Being the first team in the 75+ year of NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead? Historical failure is never to be appreciated. That is loser mentality.

Appreciate that we are even on this stage, where 26 other teams wish they were. Loser mentality to bag on these players despite all that they've accomplished, especially when none of us have been on any stage close to that.

Not onky should this have been a win but we should have absolutely fuxking throttled Boston. Like it shouldn’t have even been in question at the end of the 3rd who was going to win or not. Jimmy and Bam picked the literal worst time to have the worst games of their careers and Gabe was out there chucking up prayers too apparently.

Seeing the Celtics shot that bad and we still lost is not reassuring at all to me. This was the one we had to win and even though Boston tried their best to give it to us we just couldn’t take it.

It’s far more likely Boston hits their shots at home and our role players forget how to shoot than it is that both teams replicate this shooting next game.

If we blow this lead you either go all in fuxking finally for real talent on the team or you completely scrap it. FO gone, Coaching staff gone, players gone. Everyone will need to go to rid us of the fuxking stench of being the only team to ever blow a 3-0 lead. That’s what “Heat Culture” will be.

What a farkin roller coaster. I still can’t believe the luck it took for them to beat us.

the tech called on bam with 8 mins to go

The foul call on brown when he went flying in for a board

The fact that smarts miss bobbled around the rim just enough times so forehead could get there for a perfect put back

… man it’s just so hard so swallow

Miami had 5 turnovers (a series low), shot 47% from 3 while making 14 3s (3rd highest in the series), Miami got 29 free throws (a series high), and it got great production from its role players (68 points on 43 FG%, 46 3pt%).

If you had told me that before the game, I'd have told you Miami won comfortably -- especially if you also told me Boston shot 7-35 from 3 and Tatum went 8-22. Miami would have won running away if Butler and Bam had shot just 40% (would have been an extra ~12 points).

Yeah, but unfortunately, 'Miami' includes Jimmy and Bam. 'Miami' shot 35% from the field. That's not gonna cut it. You can say 'the others' played a great game, but 'Miami' did not.
