No. 6, No. 11, WCJ, & Gary Harris for Scoot and Anfernee Simons

I really like this trade, especially in conjunction with us signing Vooch in free agency. I want us to will this into existence.

Would you rather have this deal or a deal for Devin Vassell around #6 and one of our guards where we keep the #11 pick?

Both deals are unlikely but have been discussed a lot. So which do we like better?

Injuries had never stopped us from drafting or acquiring. I really don’t think any rookie is going to put us over the top. SG is the position we need to work on so to me it’s a let’s try and see what happens. If we can’t go explore something else. But both players should be at their cheapest right now and on top of that they would become arguably a third option with us which is where both should be in the stage of their careers. Both players would be better than anyone at 11 really.

I prefer this one. I love the idea of building around Paolo, Scoot, and Franz.

The problem is we still have Suggs, Anthony, and Fultz with this trade. If we're trading our only legitimate center and both lottery picks to move up then we're definitely playing Scoot big minutes and clearly Simons is our new starting SG. None of Suggs/Anthony/Fultz are SG's even though we stupidly play them there at times, so we'd need to bring in another SG to backup Simons.

Now we have four PG's. I think the only way this trade makes sense is if we swap WCJ for Anthony and one of Suggs/Fultz.

My preference would then be:

No. 6, No. 11, Anthony, Fultz, Harris for Scoot + Simons.

That is much more balanced for sure. In the imbalanced scenario we'd need to move Fultz and Cole. I'd look for more shooting, players like Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks, Corey Kispert, Luke Kennard, Isaiah Joe, Damion Lee, or Joe Harris.

Wonder if Houston is trading Jalen Green? Is he worth a call? I can see him being a good fit.

I really want to know what Portland and Houston plan to do with their picks. Portland will surely trade the pick, right? But who’s going to give them a good win-now piece in return? The best I can think of is #3 + Simons for LaVine, KAT, or a package of OG + Siakam (exp).

Houston is real interesting to me. If they have real hopes and plans to bring back Harden then they may as well make moves with him in mind. Does someone like Scoot or Amen become redundant behind Harden and Green? Miller would give them a potent shooting frontcourt - maybe it’s worth them trading up for him? I’m thinking:

HOU: 2nd pick + Rozier/Hayward
CHA: 4th pick + Eason + KPJ

Sengun/Lively
Jabari
Miller
Green
Harden/Rozier

I like Sengun but they probably want a classic rim protector alternative to him - which might be Lively at 20. Or maybe they sign Drummond for cheap?

I think that team could fight for a play-in spot for sure. If they all get hot from 3 then goodnight.

Yea, but what PDX wants matters too and they would be looking for someone to help them win. That’s where WCjr has to be the guy going out to PDX especially since he doesn’t play the same position as Dame or Sharpe. They could then go after a Lavine/OG/Middleton/Beal by packaging #6 and #11.

I can't wait for draft night so see what weham do.

We have soooo many options

I like what they Ve built so far, we have all the pieces, top on my wishing list is

Experienced fairly Young player
2 way player
3 pt
Complementary to Franz and PB

I think we can get that with:

Mikal bridges
OG ANUNOBY
Devin vassell

And to a lesser extend:
Simons
Trent jr
Fvv

We have the assets and money to get one of them
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda
P5, JI, Panda, Moe
Wcj, Goga, Moe

Are you serious that we can get Mikal Bridges? I do not think Brooklyn is doing any trade with him. I thought Mikal is their corner stone of rebuilding

Love the annual fantasy-trade extravaganza, scenarios and rumors that will end up in the usual way:WeHam doing absolutely nothing, keeping the picks, trading that 2nd for money, keeping the entire core intact(maybe doing a minor move just cause they have to,like releasing/trading okeke).

Good Morning All,

Good news...I've solved all of our problems :D

1.ORL signs FVV for $32m x 4, as heavily front-loaded as possible. Waive or move Harris, Goga, Bol for future picks or just cap space

2.ORL sends...Fultz, Okeke, #6, #36, DEN 25 frp
UTA sends...Olynk, Agbaji, #9, #16

FVV/Cole/ #16-Bufkin
Suggs/Agbaji/#9-Hawkins
Franz/Isaac/Houstan
Paolo/Olynk/M. Wagner
WCJ/ #11-Lively

*3 rooks is a lot but very low expectations for year 1 (unless they show readiness). Evaluation year for Cole, Suggs, Isaac...all could be moved or waived(Isaac) if fit/health doesn't develop- to create max cap space next summer. This lineup has lots of vet wisdom, lots of shooting, improved D and positional versatility, while stocking up on future upside at the same time...All realistically achievable for a promising young team with two lottery picks and lots of cap space....IF UTA didn't have interest in Fultz, it could be Cole and Harris or Cole and Isaac (I'd prefer to hang on to Isaac for one last try-he's so impactful, even for 15 mins per game).

I like the idea as well but who is to say the Hornets won't draft Scoot? IMO if Orlando really wants Scoot, then we have to trade for the #2 pick!

Anthony, Suggs, WCJ, 6 and 11 plus Nuggets pick for #2, Rozier and Kai Jones.

C-Bol
PF-Isaac
SF-Banchero
SG-Wagner
PG-Henderson

With Fultz off the bench

I still hope for Scoot myself. If we can trade up to get him...

3pt shooting isn’t a concern here?

It is but I believe Paolo and Franz will improve. I also think Scoot can get into the mid-high 30 percentage range.

We lose WCJ on top of this. How well did Russell Westbrook and Lebron James work out? Spacing was terrible.

I don’t see Scoot as a Westbrook clone. He’s a better passer and has a decent form on his shot. Also isn’t reluctant to attempt 3’s and has a pretty decent free throw percentage.

Paolo and Franz are not LeBron.
